Specifically, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities directly admits candidates who have graduated from a regular university program with a GPA of "good" or higher within the last 12 months from Hanoi University's training programs such as talent, advanced, international standard, high-quality (funded by the State), and training programs accredited by reputable international accreditation organizations (AUN-QA, ABET...) or Vietnamese accreditation organizations recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates who have graduated from a regular university program with a GPA of excellent or higher in the relevant field within the past 12 months from standard, high-quality training programs of Hanoi National University are also eligible for direct admission.
In addition, this year, for the first time, the school is directly admitting candidates who have graduated with excellent grades or higher from certain regular university programs within the past 12 months.
Under the new regulations, graduates with honors in fields such as Journalism, Public Relations, International Communication, Mass Communication, etc., are eligible for direct admission to postgraduate programs in Journalism (research-oriented or application-oriented) or Media Management.
Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Literature or Literature Education are eligible for direct admission to a Master's program in Literature. Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management, Tourism, Hotel Management, or Restaurant and Food Service Management are also eligible for direct admission to a Master's program in Tourism.
The policy of direct admission for outstanding graduates in relevant fields is applied to 44 master's degree programs at the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
This is also the first year that 8 training programs of Hanoi National University have been accredited by prestigious international accreditation organizations (AUN-QA, ABET...) or Vietnamese accreditation organizations recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training, allowing full-time students in the relevant majors with a GPA of "good" or higher to be considered for direct admission to postgraduate programs.
Those eight disciplines are Literature, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, History, Vietnamese Studies, International Studies, and Archival Studies.
In addition, in 2022, the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the first time directly added bonus points for scientific research to students' overall GPA for direct admission consideration.
In addition, for postgraduate studies, the university may consider waiving tuition fees for doctoral students and propose that the National University grant scholarships of up to 100 million VND/person/year (12 months) based on academic and research performance during the standard training period. Interns may be considered for scholarships of up to 120 million VND/person/year (12 months).
At the university level, this year, Hanoi National University continues to directly admit students according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific regulations and admission guidelines of the university.
In 2002, the university organized the High School Student Assessment Exam (HSA) for admission to its member schools. Hanoi National University planned to hold 16 exam sessions, of which two took place at the end of February and on March 18-20.
