Universities directly recruit graduate students regardless of major

In 2022, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, will enroll graduate students in suitable majors with excellent university degrees.

Specifically, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities directly admits candidates who have graduated from a regular university with a good or higher degree within 12 months from training programs of Hanoi University such as talent, advanced, international standards, high quality (invested by the State), training programs that have been accredited by prestigious international accreditation organizations (AUN-QA, ABET...) or Vietnamese accreditation organizations recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates who have graduated from a regular university with a good degree or higher within 12 months from a standard, high-quality training program of Hanoi National University are also directly admitted.

In addition, this year, for the first time, the school directly recruits candidates who have graduated from a number of regular university majors with good grades or higher within 12 months.

With the new regulation, only graduates with honors, bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, International Communication, Mass Communication... are eligible for direct admission to graduate studies in Journalism (research-oriented, application-oriented) or Journalism and Media Management.

Bachelors of Literature and Literature Pedagogy are eligible for direct admission to graduate studies in Literature. Bachelors of Tourism and Travel Services Management, Tourism, Hotel Management or Restaurant and Catering Management are eligible for direct admission to graduate studies in Tourism.

The policy of direct admission of excellent bachelors in suitable majors is applied to 44 master's training majors of Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

This is also the first year that 8 training majors of Hanoi National University have been accredited by prestigious international accreditation organizations (AUN-QA, ABET...) or Vietnamese accreditation organizations recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training, allowing full-time students with good or higher grades to be directly admitted to graduate school.

The eight majors are Literature, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, History, Vietnam Studies, International Studies, and Archival Studies.

In addition, in 2022, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities will for the first time directly add scientific research bonus points to students' overall average score for direct admission.

In addition, for postgraduate level, the school can consider exempting tuition fees for doctoral students, and at the same time, propose the National University to grant scholarships of up to 100 million VND/person/year (12 months) based on academic and research results during the standard training period. Interns are considered for scholarships of up to 120 million VND/person/year (12 months).

At the university level, this year, Hanoi National University continues to directly enroll candidates according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and specific regulations and admission instructions of the school.

In 2002, the school organized the High School Aptitude Assessment (HSA) exam to recruit students for its member schools. Hanoi National University planned to organize 16 rounds of exams, of which 2 rounds took place at the end of February and on March 18-20.
