The Hanoi National University's high school-level Olympic exam for Literature and History subjects was attended by 437 students from 58 high schools nationwide, not only from Hanoi and neighboring provinces, but also from remote areas such as An Giang and Dien Bien.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: With the number of registered students nearly doubling year after year, and with the trust of 57 high schools nationwide, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has done a good job as the organizing committee to ensure the transparency and prestige of the VNU Olympic Exam for Literature and History. Accordingly, the Vice Rector also instructed staff to be always attentive in the organization process, maintaining a serious spirit from the question setting stage, guiding participating units in registration, organizing invigilation, to grading and announcing results.
The candidates received full support from the invigilators throughout every stage of the exam.
The High School Olympiad organized by Hanoi National University is an opportunity to discover and nurture talented students, while also improving the quality of teaching and learning at the high school level. Through this competition, students not only have the opportunity to practice and become familiar with the types of questions in gifted student exams but also better prepare for the national gifted student competition.
Furthermore, the competition contributes to promoting cooperation in training between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi in general, with high schools in the region and universities nationwide, creating a beneficial and meaningful academic platform. Students who win prizes in the competition are awarded certificates, commendations, and given priority in admission to member universities, schools, and faculties under Vietnam National University, Hanoi, according to current admission regulations and rules.
Teachers and students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities are confident before the exam.
With the desire to provide opportunities for students to showcase their abilities and continuous learning spirit, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, affiliated with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, sent 110 students from the Literature, History, Geography, and English teams to participate in the Olympic competition organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
