As the only representative from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to reach the top 35 in this year's Incubator program, I felt quite pressured and anxious beforehand. However, the support and companionship of my family, teachers, and friends along the way was the biggest motivation for me to overcome my psychological barriers and step out of my comfort zone.”
Throughout the nearly five-month competition, Thuy Trang and her teammates honed their knowledge through specialized lectures on Zoom, covering topics such as sustainable tourism development, cultural and religious symbols, and the role of Vietnamese cultural heritage in tourism. The tourism student also kept up-to-date on information from social media about culture, history, and noteworthy events in the tourism industry, while also developing other skills such as teamwork and critical thinking.

A K66 Tourism Studies student shared: "Throughout my three years of study at VNU-USSH, in addition to general knowledge and specialized theories in class, I have had the opportunity to participate in internships and practical training in many places both domestically and internationally. Not only diligently studying in the classroom, Tourism Studies students also gain practical experience through internships and field trips to various localities, organizations, and businesses… to reinforce the basic theories learned at school. Comprehensive internship trips with the theme 'Exploring Heritage Regions' in Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Hue provinces; practical training for the Supplementary Service Business course in Sa Pa, Lao Cai; practical training for the Travel Operations course in Binh Lieu, Quang Ninh; and the comprehensive internship with the theme 'Travel Torch' in 2023 in China... have provided students of the Faculty of Tourism Studies with truly memorable experiences."
The passionate theoretical lessons from our teachers and the experiences in new lands have helped students gain a multifaceted perspective and deeper thinking about self-positioning and a proper understanding of the field and profession they are pursuing. We are always grateful and cherish every lecture and every word of advice from our teachers throughout our studies and training. Our teachers not only imparted knowledge but also accompanied us in developing other skills to further improve ourselves.
