Representing the Academy of Literature at Beijing Normal University (China) were Professor Zhou Yun Lei - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Literature; Professor Nie Da Xin - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Professor Shen Qing Li - Director of the Center for Modern Literature Research; and Ms. To Nguyet - a Vietnamese postgraduate student at the Academy of Literature.
Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the university; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien - Vice Head of the Faculty of Literature and Director of the Center for Chinese Studies; and representatives from the Cooperation and Development Department, the Training Department, and the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized the importance of cooperation in student exchange and credit recognition between the two universities.
During the meeting, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has had a good cooperative relationship with universities and academies in China, and that cooperation with Beijing Normal University is expected to yield many results in the future, especially creating opportunities for students from both universities to exchange studies and have their academic credits recognized between the two institutions.
According to Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, the trend in Vietnam's higher education development has undergone many changes. Instead of studying abroad, many Vietnamese students prioritize studying in domestic programs with international exchange activities. Therefore, cooperation in training and credit recognition between the two universities will attract the attention of students. In addition, besides cooperation in research and training in the field of literature, VNU-USSH hopes to expand exchanges with BNU in social sciences and humanities fields such as history and culture.
The collaboration also aims at the exchange of faculty members in training, research, and publication.
Prior to this, the two universities had held numerous meetings and exchanged information. The visit of the delegation from Beijing Normal University to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will further solidify the cooperation between the two sides in the future.

Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, discussed the coordination of cooperation procedures between the two universities.
The meeting is expected to yield many positive results in the cooperative relationship between VNU-USSH and BNU.
