During the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Minh Chau discussed the plan for student exchange between Vietnam and China under the agreement signed with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Accordingly, the Lang Son Department of Education and Training will act as an intermediary to receive and introduce Chinese students to study at universities in Hanoi, with the Department having selected the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a reliable partner. This year, the Lang Son Department of Education and Training proposed sending five Chinese students to the University, including one student wishing to pursue a bachelor's degree in Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, and four students attending short-term courses to improve their Vietnamese language proficiency.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan stated that the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language has a long tradition of training and teaching the Vietnamese language. The Faculty has successfully developed a 6-level Vietnamese language proficiency framework and a test format for assessing Vietnamese language proficiency for foreign students. Some of the Faculty's graduates have become ambassadors at diplomatic missions in Vietnam. Therefore, the University is committed to ensuring the prestige and quality of training with the Department of Education and Training of Lang Son province and hopes to expand cooperation to other sectors and fields.
Following that, the two sides discussed issues related to tuition fees, living expenses, dormitories, and admission criteria for international students as stipulated in the regulations. They will soon sign a memorandum of understanding to officially launch their cooperation.
