Since signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in August 2017, the Dao Minh Quang Foundation has had many initiatives and activities to support the development of the University, including the annual “Dao Minh Quang Scholarship” for students. The Foundation also cooperates to advise the University in seeking cooperation projects on training and research with Germany or other countries.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the contributions of the Fund to the University in the past time. In response, Dr. Dao Minh Quang pledged to maintain cooperation between the two sides, despite the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. This cooperation will encourage the learning and teaching spirit of the University's lecturers and students. In the coming time, the Fund will continue to provide the Dao Minh Quang Scholarship; sponsor the implementation of a number of scientific researches by lecturers and postgraduates on Germany and Vietnam-Germany relations; promote Start-up, innovation and creativity activities among the University's lecturers and students.
Dao Minh Quang Foundation was established under the German Civil Code, has independent legal capacity, and pursues only public interest and charitable goals. In December 2016, Dao Minh Quang Foundation was officially recognized by the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection of the State of Berlin as having independent legal capacity and was recognized by the Berlin State Department of Finance as a public interest fund for carrying out charitable activities. The Foundation promotes development cooperation between Germany and Vietnam. The Foundation's operational goal is to promote development cooperation between the founder's two homelands, Vietnam and Germany, especially in the fields of education, sustainable agricultural development, music and culture.
