Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Dr. Dao Minh Quang (Chairman of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation), Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang (Assistant to the Chairman of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation in Hanoi), and representatives from the Department of Politics and Student Affairs.
Based on the academic and training results of the 2020-2021 school year, the Dao Minh Quang Foundation awarded scholarships to 22 students with excellent academic results, 10 students who are class/youth union/student association officers with excellent/good academic results, and 5 students from disadvantaged backgrounds with excellent/good academic results from the QH-2017-X, QH-2018-X, and QH-2019-X cohorts of the regular program, academic year 2019-2020, each scholarship worth 5 million VND.

At the scholarship awarding ceremony, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan shared that the Dao Minh Quang Foundation has become a familiar name to students and has made a significant contribution to the university's scholarship funds. In the context of the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Foundation's assistance has become even more meaningful. Furthermore, faculty and students of the university have learned a great deal from the knowledge, experience, and character of Dr. Dao Minh Quang. Professor Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to Dr. Dao Minh Quang and hoped that the Foundation would continue to support and create opportunities for faculty and students in the development of education.

Dr. Dao Minh Quang shared the mission of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation in promoting education in his hometown. The Foundation's sponsorship and advisory activities aim to encourage the learning and teaching spirit of students and lecturers at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He hopes that the Dao Minh Quang scholarship will help students cultivate a thirst for knowledge, overcome difficulties, and excel in their studies and lives. The Dao Minh Quang Foundation was established under German Civil Code, possesses independent legal capacity, and pursues public and charitable goals. In December 2016, the Dao Minh Quang Foundation was officially recognized as having independent legal capacity by the Berlin State Department of Justice and Consumer Protection and was recognized as a public benefit foundation by the Berlin State Finance Department for its charitable activities. The Foundation encourages cooperation and development between Germany and Vietnam. Its operational goal is to promote cooperation and development between the founder's two homelands, Vietnam and Germany, particularly in the fields of education, sustainable agricultural development, music, and culture.
