I would like to quote the words of Comrade Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Secretary of the Party Committee, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - in his congratulatory letter to cadres, members, and journalists nationwide, to remind them of the contributions of generations of journalists as well as those involved in journalism and media training in the cause of protecting and developing the country:
"Remembering our roots is also a time when each of us journalists feels more clearly the honor and responsibility of 'serving the people, serving the revolution'."
For the past 99 years, Vietnamese journalists have fulfilled their responsibilities well, always accompanying the country and the nation. During the war years, thousands of journalists and reporters fought alongside soldiers and civilian workers on various fronts. Hundreds of journalist martyrs bravely sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, further enhancing the glorious tradition of revolutionary journalism in our country. Entering the period of peace, reform, and integration, press agencies have effectively performed their role as the mouthpiece of the Party, the State, political, social, and professional organizations, serving as a forum for the people, maintaining political direction, and contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party, the State, and the regime. With a tradition spanning nearly 80 years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is a leading training and research institution in the field of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. In particular, training and research in journalism and communication is one of the university's strengths, contributing to providing high-quality, highly skilled human resources; researching, creating, and disseminating knowledge in journalism and communication, serving the cause of national construction and defense and international integration.

It is these teachers and alumni who have contributed to shaping the unique identity of "Hanoi Humanities journalism," playing a significant role in building the foundation and enriching the valuable traditions of the university.

On the occasion of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, June 21st, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the university - sends his best wishes for health, success, happiness, and especially for maintaining the passion for journalism to all generations of teachers who have been daily imparting knowledge to generations of journalism students; to all generations of journalists, reporters, and editors; and to all those working in the fields of journalism, media, and publishing.
