On July 5, 2024, the State Council of Professors issued
Decision No. 25/QD-HDGSNNApproval of the list of scientific journals eligible for scoring in 2024. Accordingly, the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has been upgraded in the list of scientific journals eligible for scoring by the Interdisciplinary Council of Professors in Philosophy - Political Science - Sociology (the highest score was raised from 0.75 to 1.0 point in 2024) and the Interdisciplinary Council of Professors in Culture - Arts - Physical Education and Sports (the highest score was raised from 0.5 to 0.75 points in 2024).
To date, the Journal has been included in the list of scientific journals that are scored by 8 Professorial Councils in various disciplines and interdisciplinary fields. Specifically, the Journal received the highest score of 1.0 point in 6 disciplines and interdisciplinary fields: Educational Sciences; Linguistics; History – Archaeology – Ethnology/Anthropology; Psychology; Philosophy – Political Science – Sociology; and Literature. The Journal received the highest score of 0.75 points in the interdisciplinary field of Culture – Arts – Physical Education and Sports. The Journal received the lowest score of 0.5 points in the field of Law.

Journal of Social Sciences and HumanitiesThe Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is the official and sole scientific publication of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, developing and building upon the Social Sciences and Humanities Journal and the Science Journal of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The journal is published periodically (four issues in Vietnamese per year and two issues in English per year), with the mission of publishing and introducing scientific research works in the social sciences and humanities by authors who are scientists both domestically and internationally, serving teaching, learning, and scientific research. The journal's editorial board currently comprises 33 reputable scientists from Vietnam and abroad. The journal focuses on and prioritizes the publication of articles guided by an open, creative spirit, striving to reach and compete with leading journals in the region and the world. The main content of the journal includes research papers (approximately 6,000 to 15,000 words), book reviews, and scientific information (approximately 300 to 1,500 words) presented according to the structure and standards of a scientific journal.
