Seminar "Reading - Joy and Wisdom"

The seminar was attended by delegates from the General Staff, the Political Department of the Coast Guard; the District Youth Union, the Women's Union of Ha Dong District, the Military Command of Ha Dong District; the Party Committee, government, and mass organizations of Nguyen Trai Ward (Kien Hung, Ha Dong District); officials, teachers, and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; and officials, teachers, and students from several schools in Ha Dong District. The guest speaker was Dr. Tran Bach Hieu, lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi.

This is one of the practical activities in response to World Book and Copyright Day and Vietnam Book Day; contributing to raising awareness among officers, teachers, staff, and soldiers of the Center, as well as officers, teachers, students, and pupils of some schools in the unit's驻地 area, about the importance of reading books for the development of knowledge, thinking, life skills, and character building.

The Youth of the Faculty of Humanities participated in a cultural exchange with other units.

The discussions at the seminar revolved around the following topics: What is reading culture? What is the significance of reading culture for the development of society? What is the current state of reading culture in society, especially among young people? How important is reading culture and how does it influence the improvement of professional quality, especially pedagogical skills, and the standardization of teachers and educational administrators? What are the similarities and differences between Vietnamese reading culture and that of advanced countries? What are the solutions for building a reading culture in society today? Reading culture in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)...

The seminar helped delegates and young participants gain a clearer understanding of the current reading culture in Vietnam, recognize the importance of reading, and thereby ignite a passion and interest in reading in each individual.
