Seminar "Reading - Joy and Wisdom"

On the afternoon of April 23, in Hanoi, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities/Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Coast Guard Training and Professional Development Center and its sister units in the area, organized a discussion with the theme "Reading - Joy and Wisdom".

Attending the seminar were delegates from the General Staff, the Political Department of the Coast Guard; the District Youth Union, the Women's Union of Ha Dong District, the Military Command of Ha Dong District; the Party Committee, authorities, and organizations of Nguyen Trai Ward (Kien Hung, Ha Dong District); officials, teachers, and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; officials, teachers, and students of some schools in Ha Dong District. The program's guest was Dr. Tran Bach Hieu, lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi.

This is one of the practical activities in response to World Book and Copyright Day and Vietnam Book Day; contributing to raising awareness among cadres, teachers, employees, soldiers of the Center as well as cadres, teachers, students of some schools in the stationed unit about the importance of reading for the development of knowledge, thinking, life skills and training of human personality.

Youth of Humanities exchange art with units

The sharing and discussion at the seminar revolved around the following contents: What is reading culture? What is the meaning of reading culture for the development of society? The current state of reading culture in society, especially among young people today? How important and influential is reading culture in improving the quality of professional expertise, especially pedagogical skills, and the standardization of teachers and educational managers? What are the similarities and differences between the reading culture of Vietnamese people compared to the reading culture of advanced countries in the world? Solutions to build a reading culture in today's society? Reading culture in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industrial Revolution 4.0)...

Visit the book exhibition with the theme "50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament" at the library of the Coast Guard Training and Professional Development Center

The discussion helped delegates and young people attending have a clearer view of the reading culture of Vietnamese people today, see the importance of reading, thereby arousing passion and interest in reading in each person.

Before the seminar, delegates visited the book exhibition booth with the theme“50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament”organized by the Coast Guard Training and Professional Development Center Library.
