The discussion was attended by Mr. Philip Degenhart (Director of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation in Southeast Asia), Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences), Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan (Head of the Faculty of Philosophy), Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Cuong (Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Political Science) and more than 40 experts, lecturers, researchers and students from the units. In addition, there was the participation of Dr. Joachim Spangenberg (Research Coordinator, Vice President of the SERI Institute for Sustainable Europe, Germany) - one of the leading experts in interdisciplinary socio-economic research in Germany.
Speaking at the discussion, Mr. Philip Degenhart introduced the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Representative Office in Southeast Asia and looked forward to future research cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

For his part, Professor Michael Brie shared and discussed with experts about the development of socialism and the economic, ecological and social transformation in European countries. The presentation received 15 opinions and exchanges around topics such as the history of socialism development, the responsibility of enterprises for social development, the sharing economy, and the manifestations and efforts of socialist countries in the current period.

At the end of the discussion, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed their thanks to Professor, Dr. Michael Brie and Dr. Joachim Spangenberg. They also hoped that the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation would continue to invite German experts to discuss new research issues, promoting cooperation between the Vietnamese academic community and the world, especially the Federal Republic of Germany.
Also during his working trip to Vietnam, Prof. Michael Brie gave a presentation at the Institute of Philosophy (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) and the Institute of Political Science, Institute of Social Sciences (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics). Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Director of the Institute of Policy and Management) participated in academic exchanges with leading Vietnamese experts on development theory and issues of economic - ecological - social transformation.
