August 2017: First-ever Master's program in Applied Journalism offered admissions.

The well-invested facilities and equipment at the School will provide excellent conditions for training Master's students in Journalism with an applied focus.

This is the first applied-oriented Master's program in Journalism in Vietnam, directly implemented and taught by the Faculty of Journalism and Communication. A key innovation of this program is its focus on equipping students with the knowledge and skills to become journalists specializing in specific fields such as domestic affairs, economics, sports, environment, culture, and international media. It provides knowledge and skills in modern journalism through modules on global trends in journalism, data journalism, and social media information gathering. Furthermore, the well-invested facilities and equipment at the Center for Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) serve as a foundation for students to experiment with and develop high-quality new television and radio programs and media products.

This program is suitable for all students who already hold a bachelor's degree in any field. The coursework is credit-based, and students can receive a Master's degree after 18 months.

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication can provide on-site training for localities within the provinces of the Northwest, Central Highlands, Southwest, and the four key economic regions: the Northern Key Economic Region, the Central Key Economic Region, the Southern Key Economic Region, and the Mekong Delta Key Economic Region.

The first enrollment is expected to begin in August 2017.
