8/2017: First time enrolling for Master of Journalism with application orientation

On February 21, 2017, the Director of Hanoi National University signed Decision No. 559/QD-VNU on promulgating the program and assigning the task of training master's degree in the applied orientation of Journalism at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The well-invested facilities and machinery system at the School will be a good condition for training Masters in Journalism with an application orientation.

This is the first applied-oriented master's program in Journalism in Vietnam, directly implemented by the Faculty of Journalism and Communication. The new point of this training program is to equip students with knowledge and skills to become journalists with in-depth expertise in a specialized field such as domestic affairs, economics, sports, environment, culture, international media, etc.; provide knowledge and skills in modern journalism, through courses on modern journalism trends in the world, data journalism, and information exploitation skills on social networks. In addition, the facilities and machinery system invested in a systematic manner at the Center for Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) are a platform for students to experiment and practice PT-TH programs and new, high-quality media products.

The program is suitable for all students who have a university degree in any field of study. The study time is in the form of credits, students can receive a Master's degree after 18 months.

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication can provide on-site training for localities within the provinces of the Northwest, Central Highlands, Southwest and 4 key economic regions: the Northern Key Economic Zone, the Central Key Economic Zone, the Southern Key Economic Zone and the Mekong Delta Key Economic Zone.

Expected to enroll the first course in August 2017.
