At the event jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Tran Van Nghia answered many questions from candidates for the upcoming national high school exam.
In response to questions from many candidates about how to fill out the admission form, Mr. Nghia shared that candidates should only register when they are sure that if they are admitted to the major they will study, they should not register just to finish.
“The principle when registering is that candidates should only register for the majors they like, to avoid the situation of registering, being accepted but in the end not attending school. You have to choose carefully, considering each wish,” Mr. Nghia advised.
At the same time, candidates must consider their own abilities. “That means combining school results, mock test results and scores to make a decision to register for majors/schools within that range.”
According to Mr. Nghia, to do that, candidates must think of 3 groups of majors/schools that they have a high chance of being admitted to: "The firstare the schools that I really like and last year's score was only a little higher than my ability or my mock test score. In this case, I won't regret it.Second groupis a group that is almost completely suitable for your abilities.third group"This is a safer group of schools where the scores are a little lower than their ability. This is to prevent the possibility that during the exam, if the candidate does a little worse than usual, they can still pass," said Mr. Nghia.
Mr. Nghia believes that, in these 3 groups that candidates must think about, when registering their wishes, they should prioritize the majors/schools they like the most first. “Prioritize your favorite wishes above all else. Even if you are not sure, you should still prioritize them. Because if you really like a major but are too afraid to fill it in the wishes below, when it comes to admission, you find out that the score you can achieve for that major is not considered because you have been admitted to the majors (even though they have lower scores) above. That will be full of regrets,” Mr. Nghia analyzed.
According to a representative of the Ministry of Education and Training, if these three principles are applied correctly, it will be difficult for candidates to fail the university entrance exam this year.
