On March 4th, several councils responded to the School Journal regarding the agreed-upon result of awarding a maximum of 1 point per project.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is giving the opening remarks at the working session.
In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, provided the delegates with some information about the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is the first independent journal within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Currently, the journal has published four issues (three in 2015 and one in 2016). The future goal is for the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities to be included in prestigious international journal databases (SCOPUS and ISI).
Expressing optimism about the journal's future development direction, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh shared: "The journal is a scientific product continuing a tradition; it has a seasoned and high-quality editorial board (including 6 leading scholars from around the world); and it receives strong support and confidence from the faculty, staff, and leadership of the university in its development."
"In the future, the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes to receive support and contributions from professors of the professorship title councils in various disciplines and interdisciplinary fields," Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh shared.
Following the opening remarks, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, provided the delegates with information on the journal's activities over the past period and sought feedback from representatives of the state, sectoral, and interdisciplinary professorship councils.

Professor Vu Minh Giang shared this at the working session.
Appreciating the efforts of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in pioneering the creation of a journal for the University, Professor Vu Minh Giang shared more about the challenging path the University needs to overcome in the coming time.
Investing in and developing a magazine is like raising a child; whether the child grows up successfully through the nurturing process is what truly matters. Therefore, the school needs to have specific development strategies.
According to Professor Vu Minh Giang, the university's journal should prioritize quality. In addition, it should uphold principles in its operations such as peer review and publishing processes.
As a multidisciplinary journal, should the University Journal focus on key areas of research, avoiding ineffective diversification? Professor Vu Minh Giang suggests.
Professor Vu Minh Giang proposed that a maximum of 1 point be awarded for each work published in the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
As someone who has participated in peer review and contributed articles to the Journal, Professor Vu Duong Ninh highly appreciates the review process, which has been conducted seriously, professionally, and rigorously.
The development of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is a continuation of a process linked to the development of the tradition of the University of Hanoi, now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The journal has transcended the value of simply publishing in Vietnamese, aiming for international publication, which is commendable and deserves investment, support, and strong development. This will contribute to overcoming the shortcomings of Vietnamese journals and promoting Vietnamese research internationally.

Professor Tran Van Nhung, Secretary General of the State Council for Professor Titles, is providing feedback to the journal.
Pointing out a reality in Vietnam, only 3 journals have 100% of their council members having published scientific papers in ISI-indexed journals, while 10 councils have 100% of their members with no publications in ISI-indexed journals. This partly reflects the relatively high level of local expertise among Vietnamese scientists, said Professor Tran Van Nhung, Secretary General of the State Council for Professor Titles.
Professor Tran Van Nhung shared his joy, welcome, and support for the formation, development, and international orientation of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. However, to achieve that, the road ahead is still very difficult. Professor Tran Van Nhung shared: "Establishing a journal is difficult, but the process of nurturing it and creating its influence is many times more difficult."
After offering some suggestions regarding the journal's format, Professor Tran Van Nhung also expressed his support for awarding a maximum of 1 point per publication in the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
