Introducing Vice Principal Tran Thi Minh Hoa as a candidate for the Hanoi City People's Council.

The conference was attended by key officials: members of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee; the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; the President of the School's Veterans Association; the Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the Party branches; and the heads and deputy heads of the school's units. A total of 180 voter delegates were summoned from across the school. The conference was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Rector, Deputy Secretary of the School's Party Committee, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - President of the School's Trade Union.

Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh stated that the nomination of the university's candidate to the City People's Council – the state power body of the capital, representing the will, aspirations, and interests of the people of Hanoi – is of paramount importance to the university's constituents. This is an opportunity to further leverage the intellect and dedication of scientists to contribute to the socio-economic development and international integration of the capital.

Commenting on the nominated candidate, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim said: "Comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoa is an outstanding staff member with excellent management and professional skills, dedicated to the development of science and education, and has made many contributions to the University in the past. The University's staff believes that if elected, she will have an effective voice contributing to the activities of the City People's Council."

Professor Mai Ngoc Chu (Faculty of Oriental Studies) stated that he fully agrees with the candidate nominated by the University. This voter believes that Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hoa possesses many advantages and strengths to fulfill this important responsibility. She represents the intellectual female community, her abilities have been proven throughout her career, and she is at an age where she can make significant contributions to the collective. Furthermore, having worked in various fields, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hoa has demonstrated expertise and strengths in economics and social sciences and humanities – two particularly important areas for the development of the capital city today. Throughout her career, she has received affection and positive recognition from her colleagues.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Quy (Faculty of Information and Library Science) believes that Comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoa is a leader who is very close to the people. Therefore, if she were to represent the people, she would offer opinions that are relevant to people's lives, beneficial to the development of Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi. In particular, with her expertise, she would effectively contribute to the development of culture and tourism in the capital city.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Quy said: “If elected, this would not only be a joy for Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hoa personally, but also for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Comparing her to the candidate criteria, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hoa has exceeded the standards, and we hope she will soon become an official representative of the Hanoi City People's Council.”
