The conference was attended by key officials: members of the Executive Committee of the School's Trade Union; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Chairman of the School's Veterans Association; Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell; Heads and Deputy Heads of the School's units. The whole school had 180 constituency delegates summoned. The conference was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Principal, Deputy Secretary of the School's Party Committee and Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Chairman of the School's Trade Union.
Speaking at the Conference, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that the introduction of the University's candidates to the City People's Council - the State power agency of the Capital, representing the will, aspirations and interests of the people of the Capital - is extremely important to the University's voters. This is an opportunity to further promote the intelligence and enthusiasm of scientists to contribute to the cause of socio-economic development and international integration of the Capital.
Commenting on the candidate, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim said: Comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoa is an excellent cadre, with good management and professional capacity, dedicated to the cause of developing science and education, and has made many contributions to the School in the recent past. The School's staff believes that if elected, she will have a voice to contribute effectively to the activities of the City People's Council.
Prof. Dr. Mai Ngoc Chu (Faculty of Oriental Studies) said he completely agreed with the personnel introduced by the School. This voter believes that comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoa has many advantages and strengths to fulfill this responsibility. She is a representative of female intellectuals, her capacity has been affirmed during her work, and she is at the "ripe" age to make contributions to the collective. In addition, having experienced many different jobs and fields of activity, comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoa has affirmed her expertise and strengths in the fields of economics and social sciences and humanities. In particular, with her expertise, she will promote her capacity to contribute to the development of culture and tourism in the capital.

Compared to the candidate criteria, comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoa has exceeded the set standards and we hope that she will soon become an official delegate of the Hanoi People's Council.”
