SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MASTER OF COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM 1. I don't currently have the English language certificate required for admission. Can I submit my application first and provide it later? Applicants can submit their application first and provide their English language certificate later. However, the English language certificate must be completed before the course begins. 2.I don't have a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related fields, so I need to take a bridging course. Could you please tell me how long this course lasts and what the tuition fee is? If the applicant's bachelor's degree is not in one of the three fields of journalism, public relations, or multimedia communication, they must have at least one year of work experience related to journalism or media and complete a short-term conversion course organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The conversion course aims to supplement specialized knowledge and lasts approximately one month. Tuition fees for this course will depend on the number of registered students. 3. I currently work full-time, so I'm concerned about my study schedule. Is it possible to work and attend the course at the same time? What time of day would the schedule be arranged? Classes are scheduled for weekday evenings from 6 PM or on weekends. The schedule will be announced in advance so that students have time to arrange their work schedules. Therefore, studying while working is entirely possible. 4.How many installments are there for tuition fees, and when are they payable? Does the school offer scholarships to students? Tuition fees are paid in two installments, at the beginning and mid-term of the course. Scholarships are not currently offered for the Master of Media Management program. However, tuition fees in Vietnam are 50% lower than those in the UK for the same curriculum. Travel and accommodation costs are not added. Therefore, compared to studying a similar program with the same lecturers in the UK, students save 70% on total costs. 5.Even with the certificate, I'm still not really confident in my English skills. Does the program have Vietnamese-speaking support staff? All courses will be taught by top professors from Stirling. The program also has a team of teaching assistants and mentors who are lecturers and experts in Vietnamese journalism and media. When working on their graduation thesis, in addition to their Stirling professor, students will have a Vietnamese professor as their supervisor. 6.Since the course is being taught in Vietnam, I'm wondering how students will be able to access resources, textbooks, and other materials? Each student will be provided with an online account to access and utilize the training resources of the University of Stirling, just like any other student currently studying at Stirling. These resources include not only textbooks and reference books, but also counseling services, training support, and other services. In addition, students can also access existing resources at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. 7. Does the program include any courses taught in the UK? Are there any student exchange programs? Currently, the program is fully taught in Vietnam and there are no plans for student exchange. However, if desired, students can travel to the UK to attend the graduation ceremony and receive their degree at Stirling University (Scotland, United Kingdom). |
