University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

This morning, August 15, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, organized the international scientific conference "From the August Revolution to the New Era of Development: The Foundation, Potential, Position and International Prestige of the Country".

The thematic workshop "Culture, Ethnicity, and Religion in Vietnam in the context of new developments," organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, this morning, August 23, 2025, is part of the 7th International Conference on Vietnamese Studies.

Aiming to build a standardized, high-quality system of textbooks and monographs, contributing to affirming its pioneering and leading role and position in training and scientific research, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has approved a key project on publishing textbooks, monographs, and scientific products of the University.

This morning, June 24, 2025, nearly 100 faculty and staff members from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, participated in a specialized training session on effective time management and work organization skills. The training was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Phung - former Head of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management; former member of the University's Trade Union Executive Committee; and Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Archives and Records Management - who directly shared and guided the content.

The 2025 Expanded Scientific and Training Conference of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, held on June 5-6, 2025, received numerous suggestions from senior leaders, former leaders, delegates, and partners regarding the direction and strategy of the University in its next phase of development.

President Ho Chi Minh visited Hanoi University (now Vietnam National University, Hanoi) three times and offered valuable teachings to generations of students and faculty. His teachings on "learning to serve the Fatherland," "learning must go hand in hand with practice," and "patriotism is learning" have become guiding principles for the educational activities and development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

To practically commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth and to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the national scientific conference "Uncle Ho with Education, Education with Uncle Ho" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on May 12, 2025, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Editorial Board respectfully presents the keynote address by Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - at the conference.

On May 12th, the national scientific conference "President Ho Chi Minh and Education, Education and President Ho Chi Minh" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son attended and chaired the conference. On the morning of May 12th, the national scientific conference "President Ho Chi Minh and Education, Education and President Ho Chi Minh" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son attended and chaired the conference.

On May 5, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) solemnly organized the Conference of Outstanding Exemplars to summarize and evaluate the results of the patriotic emulation movement from 2020 to 2025, and to determine the direction and tasks to promote the emulation movement and improve the effectiveness of the awarding of commendations in the period 2025 – 2030.

On the morning of April 21, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held its 29th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the university's founding and the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Literature's tradition.

The Congress unanimously approved the political reports presented to the Congress and elected the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the term 2025-2030.

From the end of February 2025 to the middle of March 2025, the Party Branches under the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully held their Party Branch Congresses for the 2025-2027 term.
