University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

Today, October 8, 2025, the second International Science Forum between four universities from Vietnam and Taiwan (China), themed "Research and Teaching in the Social Sciences and Humanities in Contemporary Vietnam and Taiwan (China): Dynamics and Development Trends," was held with the participation of 60 lecturers and scientists from Vietnam and abroad.

On September 27, 2025, the Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies organized an academic seminar on the topic "The Issue of Chinese Language in Vietnamese Language Research". This was one of the practical activities aimed at commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Literature (1945 – 2025), the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (1995 – 2025), and the 100th anniversary of the birth of scholar Phan Ngoc – the first Head of the Linguistics Group of Hanoi University.

This was the directive of the Chairman of the Council and Director of Hanoi National University, Hoang Minh Son, at a meeting with key leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on the afternoon of September 16, 2025.

On the morning of September 12, 2025, the Advisory Council for the Humanities at all levels of higher education (Vietnamese Language, Literature and Culture group and Other groups) held a working session to finalize the standards for training programs in the Humanities field.

On September 5th and 6th, 2025, the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, for the term 2025-2028, was successfully held at the Auditorium on the 8th floor, Building E.

The training course on teaching Vietnamese to overseas Vietnamese teachers is a program organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) as the leading professional institution.

The research results were published by scientists on August 31, 2025, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, during the launch ceremony of the book series "Research on National Sovereignty and Territory in the Direction of a Holistic and Comprehensive Approach to Vietnamese History," attracting the attention of agencies, organizations, and scientists.

Through valuable press materials, propaganda posters, and distinctive sketches, the exhibition "Memories of Independence Day and Heritage for Young People" not only recreates the national spirit on this historic day but also inspires pride, a desire to contribute, and a sense of responsibility to preserve the heritage of independence for future generations.

The Conference of Officials, Employees and Review of the 2024-2025 Academic Year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was held on August 22, 2025, to comprehensively evaluate the results of task implementation in the past academic year, and at the same time determine the direction and key tasks for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The seminar program was organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on August 20, 2025.

With a history spanning over 120 years, Vietnam National University, Hanoi aims to become a leading training and research center in the country and the region, and to be among the top 200 universities globally.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his wish for Hanoi National University to become one of the leading universities in the country and the region, and to be among the top 200 universities in the world in the near future.

On August 20th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a seminar program titled: “The Vitality of Marxism in the 21st Century”.

This was the consensus reached at the 2025 Annual Meeting between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Ho Chi Minh City, with the theme "The Role of Social Sciences and Humanities in the Era of National Development," held this morning, August 15, 2025.
