The Admissions Advisory Board of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities answers questions about additional admissions consultation from August 20 to 25, 2012.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 5551/BGDĐT-GDĐH, dated August 23, 2012 of the Ministry of Education and Training on the 2012 regular university and college entrance exam, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hereby informs the leaders of the units and all candidates as follows:

In recent days, many candidates who did not pass their first choice but achieved the minimum score of VNU or higher (group A: 16, group B: 195, group C: 18, group D: 17) have asked the following question: "Will the school automatically transfer these candidates to majors that still have quotas and have a standard score equal to or lower than the score the candidates achieved?"

In the 2012 university entrance exam to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the shift in the number of applications for the exam groups to the training majors of the University shows the changes in social demand for these majors. Today, July 9, 2012, 3,909 candidates came to take the Literature exam for group C at the Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. According to the records at the AB, BC and G test sites of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, many candidates finished the test earlier than the scheduled time. The majority of candidates interviewed said that the test was within their ability and close to the curriculum.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) announced the results of the re-examination of the first round of postgraduate entrance exams in 2012.

This morning, July 9, 2012, in the Literature exam for group C at 10 exam locations of the University Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were 3,909 candidates taking the exam, an increase of 7 candidates compared to yesterday's exam procedure. More than 200 exam cards requesting corrections were completed and sent to candidates before this morning's exam.

On the morning of July 10, 2012, 3,862 candidates came to take the Geography exam - the last exam of the university entrance exam for group C - at the Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Thus, the number of candidates decreased by 23 people compared to the History exam yesterday afternoon. On average, the number of candidates taking all 3 subjects reached 73.4% compared to the number of candidates registered for the exam.

Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Lecturer of the Faculty of History - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) commented on the 2012 university entrance exam for History: "This year's university entrance exam for History is highly general, covering basic knowledge of Vietnamese history 1919-2000 and world history 1945-2000. The questions are clear and do not puzzle students."

On the afternoon of July 9, 3,892 candidates came to take the History exam. At the AB, BC and G exam sites of the University Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, reporters witnessed many candidates leaving early before the end of the exam time. When asked, the candidates all assessed that the exam was clear, easy to understand, and had a lot of basic knowledge, but many candidates could not complete the entire test.

By 12:00 on July 8, 2012, 3,902 candidates had completed the registration procedures for the university entrance exam for group C at the Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), reaching 73.4% of the registration rate.
