On the morning of November 27th, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication solemnly celebrated its 20th anniversary (1990 – 2010), marking twenty years of development and ushering in a new era: growth and international integration.

The closing ceremony and certificate awarding for 23 students of the 5th course in screenwriting and film criticism – a collaborative training program between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Ford Foundation – took place on November 26th.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, USSH reviews the achievements the Faculty has accomplished.

Recently, the achievements in training and research, along with the contributions of the University to the cause of education and training in particular, and to building and defending the nation in general, have been reported in more than 20 media outlets nationwide. In particular, the celebration of the University's 65th anniversary and the awarding of the Ho Chi Minh Order – a momentous and significant event – ​​attracted the attention of many newspapers and television stations.

The ceremony commemorating the 65th anniversary of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the awarding of the Ho Chi Minh Order was solemnly held at the International Conference Center this morning, November 17, 2010.

For the third time, the "Journalism Sings" cultural program by students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication continued to bring a vibrant and spectacular atmosphere, captivating thousands of viewers. With the theme "3-2-1… On Air!", this year's journalism singing program, with its dazzling and creative staging and design in a variety of colors, took place last night, November 7th, at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center.

This morning, November 2nd, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a reunion for alumni currently working at central and Hanoi-based news agencies and media outlets.

Never missing an event, the annual "Oriental Night" cultural program of the Faculty of Oriental Studies always holds a unique appeal for audiences both inside and outside the university. This year, the program is even more vibrant, dazzling, and spectacular as it coincides with the Faculty of Oriental Studies' 15th anniversary.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities hosted a reception and literary and artistic exchange with an international delegation from the Soldier's Heart organization (USA) on the afternoon of October 10, 2010.

Thirty outstanding students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received scholarships from Doosan Group – South Korea this morning, October 8, 2010.

The Faculty and Student Singing Contest, celebrating the 65th anniversary of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, will be held over three evenings: November 10, 11, and 13, 2010.

On October 2nd, 2010, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Hanoi People's Committee, and the KX.09 Program Office held a ceremony to announce the results of the State-level scientific research program: “Research on promoting the natural, economic, social conditions and historical-cultural values ​​of 1000 years of Thang Long - Hanoi to serve the comprehensive development of the Capital City”, code number KX.09.

On September 28th, the Department of History held the first Pham Than Duyat Award ceremony for Master's and Bachelor's degree holders in History and a meeting with students to celebrate the start of the new academic year.
