On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, USSH reviews the achievements the Faculty has accomplished.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, USSH reviews the achievements the Faculty has accomplished.*Year of establishment: 1990 *Current staff18 people (4 Associate Professors, 6 PhDs, 3 Doctoral Candidates, 3 Master's Degree holders, and 2 Bachelor's Degree holders) and 40 journalists and external scientists participated in the training. One People's Teacher and two Excellent Teachers were also recognized.Training:
  • Programs include: full-time university, part-time university, and postgraduate studies.
  • Degree levels: Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate.
  • Graduates trained: 7000 bachelor's degree holders, 250 master's degree holders.
  • Currently training: 1200 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 13 doctoral candidates.
  • Training locations: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Thuong Tin...
  • I have compiled 13 specialized textbooks; translated and edited dozens of reference books; and compiled lecture materials and textbooks covering 70% of the subjects.
*scientific research:
  • Published approximately 800 scientific articles in journals, conferences, and seminars both domestically and internationally.
  • Thirty student scientific research projects received awards from the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
  • Completed 13 scientific research projects at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and national levels.
*International cooperation:
  • The Toyota Foundation, Sasakawa Foundation (Japan), Media Pro (UK), Fulbright (USA), and others fund scientific research, faculty training, and curriculum development.
  • International training partnership (2+2) with China and Australia.
  • Training institutions, media corporations, and news agencies from countries such as Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia...
*Awards:
  • 2 State Awards.
  • Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
  • Certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
  • Approximately 50 alumni have won national journalism awards, as well as national and international journalism awards.
