On the morning of November 27th, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication solemnly celebrated its 20th anniversary (1990 – 2010), marking twenty years of development and ushering in a new era: growth and international integration.The commemorative ceremony was attended by numerous distinguished guests, including Dr. Nguyen The Ki (Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department); journalist Hoang Huu Luong (Director of the Press Department - Ministry of Information and Communications); Dr. Pham Tat Thang (Permanent Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine); Ms. Doan Thi Thuan (Deputy Director of the Press and Publishing Department, Central Propaganda Department); Dr. Tran Ba Dung, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Professional Affairs Department, Vietnam Journalists Association. Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Hang (former Rector), along with the entire Board of Directors, heads of departments, and representatives of the heads of faculties and departments under the university. The ceremony hall was delighted to welcome the presence of Professor Ha Minh Duc (former Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication). Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Huong (Head of the Faculty) expressed his sincere gratitude to the delegates, agencies, and individuals who attended the ceremony and sent congratulatory messages and flowers on the occasion of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication's founding anniversary. The Head of the Faculty also emphasized: "With the youthful energy of its twenty years, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication will achieve even greater success!" On the occasion of the Faculty's 20th anniversary, the Director of Hanoi National University also presented a certificate of merit and commended the achievements the Faculty has attained over the past period. Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the university leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector of the University) congratulated the Faculty of Journalism and Communication on its 20th anniversary and provided guidance on the specific direction and tasks regarding training, research, and expanding cooperation that the Faculty of Journalism and Communication needs to undertake in the future.
Following Dr. Nguyen The Ky's speech and sharing of his thoughts, Professor Ha Minh Duc also offered kind guidance to the lecturers and students of the faculty. At the end of the ceremony, on behalf of the entire student body, former student and journalist Dong Manh Hung (Vietnam Voice Radio) expressed his sincere gratitude to the teachers in the Dean's Office and the lecturers of the Faculty. On this occasion, former student Dong Manh Hung also shared his experiences and expressed his desire to help future generations of students.
