University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

From July 3rd to July 13th, 2023, a group of students from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) participated in a study exchange program at Rikkyo University (Japan).

On July 14th, representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) met and worked with Ms. Saifon Su-Indramedhi - Dean of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and representatives from the faculties and departments under the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences, Thammasat University, Thailand.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, will jointly organize a scientific conference: Digital Transformation in Office Management.

On July 7th and 8th, 2023, a group of graduate students from the K20 Tourism program, Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), had a very successful field trip to Da Nang and Quang Nam. This activity was part of the course content on Festival and Event Management in Tourism of the Master's program in Tourism.

This is the result of the work of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), along with the consulting and support activities of Indiana University (USA) within the framework of the PHER (Partnership for Higher Education Reform) Project, which has been taking place at VNU-USSH for many months.

On the morning of July 5, 2023, representatives from Xiamen University held a working meeting at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).

On July 1st, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held an enrollment ceremony for students who passed the entrance exam to the 10th grade at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is the fourth cohort of students at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities since its establishment in 2019. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of USSH), leaders of the Training, Political and Student Affairs Department, and teachers from the High School for Gifted Students attended and supervised the welcoming and enrollment process for the 10th grade students.

On the afternoon of June 30th, the Supervisory Delegation of the Committee on Culture and Education, led by Vice Chairperson Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, worked with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on the implementation of policies and laws in doctoral training.

On June 27, 2023, representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) met and worked with Professor Dominique Laffly, Science and University Attaché, French Embassy in Vietnam.

On June 20, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a meeting with representatives from the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation (Germany) to assess the cooperation situation, advantages, and challenges in implementing the cooperation project in Vietnam.

(VietTimes) Regarding the training of human resources for journalism, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Huyen said that journalism remains an attractive profession for young people due to its dynamic nature. Entrance exam scores for journalism majors are always very high.

On June 21, 2023, in Thanh Hoa City, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a conference to develop key tasks for the 2023-2024 academic year.

With outstanding achievements in scientific research in the fields of Gender, Population, and Environment, the research group of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been recognized for the second time as a Strong Research Group at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
