I. ADMISSION TO INTERNATIONAL-STANDARD TRAINING PROGRAMS IN LINGUISTICS

1. Criteria: 20 2. Student RightsStudents receive high priority in their training, specifically: - Direct instruction and guidance in scientific research from leading scientists and reputable Vietnamese and international lecturers. - Studying according to internationally recognized training programs; in the first year, students will study English intensively at the University of Foreign Languages. - Participation in one free extracurricular course per semester throughout their studies to enhance lifelong learning skills, job-seeking abilities, and personal development. - Access to the VNU electronic library account; exclusive use of specialized libraries and multimedia classrooms; priority access to learning materials, technical equipment, library facilities, and the University's shared internet system. - Accommodation in the Me Tri dormitory (if needed). In the first year, students will reside in the University of Foreign Languages ​​dormitory. - Students are awarded scholarships to encourage academic achievement (expected amounts: Type A: 650,000 VND/month, Type B1: 610,000 VND/month, Type B: 570,000 VND/month, Type C: 530,000 VND/month) and are given priority in consideration for scholarships sponsored by organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally; they receive higher financial support for scientific research than other systems. - They are given priority in postgraduate selection and in developing a pool of lecturers (valedictorians and salutatorians are given priority in recruitment as lecturers at the university and receive scholarships to pursue master's or doctoral degrees abroad).3. Selection CriteriaStudents who were admitted to member universities of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2012 (regardless of the major), met the requirements for foreign language proficiency and essay writing, and also satisfied one of the following conditions: a. Won third prize or higher in the national high school student competition in Literature for 12th grade (2011, 2012). b. Was an excellent student for three consecutive years in high school (grades 10, 11, and 12). c. Graduated from a specialized high school affiliated with a university or centrally-administered province/city. d. University entrance exam score: 18.0 points or higher for Group C and 17 points or higher for Group D (excluding regional and preferential treatment points).3.2. Selection Method3.2.1. II. ADMISSION TO HIGH-QUALITY TRAINING PROGRAMS

Student RightsIn addition to the general benefits of regular undergraduate students, students in high-quality undergraduate programs also enjoy the following benefits: - Direct teaching and research guidance from leading scientists, professors, and lecturers with high professional qualifications and prestige. - Free participation in one extracurricular course per semester throughout the course to enhance lifelong learning skills, job-seeking abilities, and personal development. - Priority access to the VNU electronic library account, priority use of learning materials, technical equipment, library facilities, and internet systems for learning and scientific research. - Priority in dormitory accommodation from the second year of study; annually, they are provided with a card to purchase textbooks and reference materials free of charge at publishers and bookstores designated by the University. - Students will receive academic achievement scholarships (expected amounts: Type A: 560,000 VND/month, Type B: 520,000 VND/month, Type C: 480,000 VND/month) and scholarships sponsored by domestic and international organizations and individuals. - They will be given priority in being considered for overseas study under state quotas or international cooperation programs that align with the goal of training high-quality bachelor's degree graduates of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University. - Upon graduation, they will be given priority in being considered for postgraduate and doctoral studies or for recruitment as teaching staff or research staff of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.3. Selection CriteriaStudents admitted to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2012 (direct admission, entrance exam, regardless of major), who meet the requirements for foreign language proficiency and essay writing, and also satisfy one of the following conditions: a. Achieved third prize or higher nationally in the 12th grade excellent student competition (2011, 2012) b. Was an excellent student for three consecutive years in high school (grades 10, 11, and 12) c. Graduated from a specialized high school affiliated with a university or centrally-administered province/city d. University entrance exam score (including regional and preferential points): Management Science major (Block A: from 17 points, Block C: from 21.5 points, Block D: from17.5points), History major (Block C: from 18 points, Block D: from 17 points), Literature major (Block C: from 18.5 points, Block D: from 17 points), Philosophy major (Block A: from 17 points, Block C: from 18 points, Block D: from 17 points).3.2. III. ADMISSION TO THE FRENCH LANGUAGE CLASS SPECIALIZING IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

1. Criteria: 20 2. Student Rights- Students will study a Psychology program with an additional 440 hours of French language instruction and some specialized subjects taught in French. - Priority access to learning materials, resources, and internet access for the French-language postgraduate program. - Priority consideration for academic achievement scholarships (expected amounts: Type A: 560,000 VND/month, Type B: 520,000 VND/month, Type C: 480,000 VND/month) and scholarships sponsored by domestic and international organizations and individuals. - Priority as a source of applicants for joint postgraduate programs between universities in the Republic of France and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; and as a source for selecting candidates for postgraduate studies abroad with state scholarships or international cooperation programs of the university.3. Selection criteria and methods 3.1. Selection CriteriaStudents who were admitted to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2012 (through direct admission or entrance examination, regardless of the major), met the foreign language proficiency test requirements, and had university entrance exam scores (including regional and preferential treatment points): 18 points or more for Block A, 19.5 points or more for Block B, 20 points or more for Block C, and 18.5 points or more for Block D, are eligible to register for admission consideration.3.2. Selection MethodAdmission will be based on university entrance exam scores among students who meet the foreign language proficiency requirements, with priority given to students who have studied French in high school.

VI. REGARDING ENGLISH TESTS AND ESSAY WRITING

1. Examination content- Foreign Language (English): Students take a 90-minute test covering two skills (reading and writing). Other languages ​​are not tested; their performance in high school over the past three years will be assessed. - Essay Writing: Students write an essay of no more than 1500 words (equivalent to 3 pages of A4 paper) within 60 minutes on a topic related to their understanding of issues in their field of study.2.
