Attending the scholarship awarding ceremony were, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Bui Van Linh (Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs). On behalf of Lotte Group and the Lotte Scholarship Fund was Mr. Hud Sung Kwan (Chairman of the Lotte Scholarship Fund). On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Head of the Department of Political Affairs and Student Affairs).
The 22nd Lotte Scholarship was awarded to 78 students from 8 universities in Hanoi, including 5 students from the Oriental Studies department of our university. These scholarship recipients have overcome difficult family circumstances to achieve outstanding academic and personal achievements.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hud Sung Kwan (Chairman of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation) said he hoped this scholarship would motivate students to strive harder and achieve their life's ambitions. He also advised students to set clear goals for themselves and steadfastly pursue them. In addition to encouraging students to study, the Chairman of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation advised them to develop relationships to broaden their future opportunities. "This is very important because no one can do everything alone," said Mr. Hud Sung Kwan.
The Lotte Scholarship program is held twice a year, reflecting Lotte Group's desire to contribute to community activities and social responsibility. At the same time, the group's leadership hopes that today's outstanding graduates will be the next generation of Lotte Group member companies in the near future.

Sharing her feelings after receiving the Lotte scholarship, student Hoang Hong Ngoc, class K61 Korean Studies, said: “As one of the five students to receive the Lotte scholarship, I feel very happy and proud. The scholarship will be a great motivation for me to continue striving, studying, and training.”
The Lotte Foundation, established in 1983, awards scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who achieve high academic and research results. In 2008, the Lotte Foundation came to Vietnam and, through meaningful scholarships, has become a trusted partner for university students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In the future, the Lotte Group promises to dedicate even more attention and investment to the nation's young talents.
