The tournament has 17 participating teams and is divided into 4 groups, in which the team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is in group C with 3 other teams: University of Economics, Faculty of Law and Alliance 3 (including Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Business Administration).
The men's football team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in the tournament with 15 athletes who are officers of functional departments and affiliated faculties. With a fairly even lineup in all lines, after the first two matches, the University team successively defeated the Joint Team 3 with a score of 3-1 and the Faculty of Law team with a score of 2-1, winning all 6 points and leading Group C, at the same time securing a place in the quarterfinals. Of the total 5 goals of the team, player Nguyen Van Thuy contributed 4 times and is currently leading the list of players with the most goals in the tournament.
In the final match of Group C, the University's men's football team will meet the University of Economics team to determine the top spot. A draw is all it takes for our team to top Group C and await our quarter-final opponent, either the National University Agency or the University of Foreign Languages.
The match will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday (October 26) at the football field of the VNU Sports Complex (Cau Giay District).
In order for the team to compete better in this year's tournament, we look forward to receiving the encouragement and support of teachers and students.
