During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasizing the university's internationalization strategy and expansion of international relations. The university has established cooperative relationships with many universities and educational institutions worldwide, including Japanese partners such as the University of Tokyo, Waseda University, and Osaka University. The Rector affirmed that Japan remains a crucial partner in the university's internationalization strategy. Therefore, the university hopes to expand cooperation with Chiba University in areas such as faculty and student exchange, scientific research, and collaborative training.
On behalf of the Chiba University, Professor Makoto Watanabe expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Chiba University also wishes to send students and trainees to visit and intern here. He proposed that the two universities soon sign a formal cooperation agreement, as a foundation for concrete activities in the future.
Professor Pham Quang Minh stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will create the best conditions to welcome Japanese students and trainees. The Rector also introduced some outstanding collaborative training models between the University and foreign partners such as Stirling University (UK), Busan University (Korea), and Meiji University (Japan) for Chiba University's reference.


Chiba University, founded in 1949, is currently among the top 15 universities in Japan. It comprises numerous campuses, including libraries, hospitals, and several research laboratories. Currently, the university has over 11,000 students, including 4,000 master's and doctoral students. The university consists of nine faculties: Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Architecture, and Faculty of Agriculture. In 2017, Chiba University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, focusing on the field of robotics technology.
