The 2018 VNU Trade Union Football Tournament has the participation of 17 teams from Schools, Faculties, Centers, Institutes, and affiliated units in VNU. The tournament organizers divide the teams into 4 groups. Groups A, B, and C have 4 teams, while Group D has 5 teams. In the group stage, the teams compete in a round-robin to calculate points, then the top 2 teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals. The matches of the tournament take place on the football field of the VNU Sports Complex every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The 2018 VNU Trade Union Football Tournament was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Government's Decree on VNU and 112 years of tradition. In addition, the football tournament will contribute to exchanges, mutual understanding and improving the health of cadres and union members working at units under VNU.
