WE PASS successfully concludes the 2017-2018 school year.

Attending the closing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University), Dr. Pham Huy Cuong (Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department, in charge of the CASA Student Support and Counseling Team), and Ms. Ta Bich Ngoc (Deputy Secretary of the University's Youth Union).

Launched in April 2017, WE PASS is now in its third year of operation, aiming to support students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in improving their academic performance. The 2017-2018 year-end summary ceremony of WE PASS was also an opportunity for the organizing committee to express gratitude to and say goodbye to the original members who initiated and built the program.

After hearing the report on the 2017-2018 academic year's activities from the WE PASS organizing committee, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan shared some thoughts with the program members. For him, WE PASS is the most impressive program among those currently being implemented by the Student Union. WE PASS directly supports students in their studies and research.

Last academic year, WE PASS achieved noteworthy results. However, in addition to expanding the number of participants, the organizing committee also needs to consider improving the quality of the review classes. Furthermore, functional departments of the university, such as the Student Affairs and Political Education Department and the Training Department, need to provide stronger support for the program's activities.

Following Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan's remarks, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong stated that WE PASS has been doing a good job fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Student Union's professional committee and CASA, which is to help students resolve difficulties and improve their exam and academic results. However, in the coming years, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong hopes to further expand the program's influence, making WE PASS a familiar and regularly active resource for students.

Following the school's feedback, Ms. Ta Bich Ngoc (Deputy Secretary, Head of the Professional Committee of the School's Youth Union, and the person directly managing the WE PASS program) accepted the suggestions and set goals for the new academic year such as: strengthening the organization of review classes, opening more classes for specialized subjects, and supporting students in answering questions about their studies in general,...

To express gratitude for the "heartfelt and intellectual" dedication of the members who volunteered to support WE PASS in the 2017-2018 academic year, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates to 9 exam preparation instructors (students and alumni) and 13 members of the specialized teams within the Organizing Committee.

In addition, Ms. Ta Bich Ngoc, representing the Student Union, presented gifts of gratitude and thanks to the first members who initiated and have been with WE PASS from the first academic year to the present. Representing the former members, the Head of the WE PASS 2017-2018 Organizing Committee, Mr. Tran Trong Hieu, expressed his gratitude to the teachers and students; affirming that although due to studies and work, the former members cannot continue with the program, they will certainly be ready to support WE PASS whenever needed.

WE PASS is a student exam preparation support project sponsored by the Professional Committee of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the CASA Student Advisory and Support Team. Launched in April 2017, the project became an official program of the University's Youth Union Professional Committee in the 2017-2018 academic year and is now in its third year of operation.

WE PASS's activity is to organize review classes for subjects that pose significant challenges for students before each exam. WE PASS instructors are current and former students who have achieved high scores in those subjects and are eager to share their knowledge and help other students at the university. There is no limit to the number of participants in a review class, and WE PASS does not charge any fees.

According to the 2017-2018 academic year activity report, WE PASS achieved significant accomplishments such as:

  • The program offers courses in seven subjects: Principles 1, Principles 2, Statistics for Social Sciences, General Economics, General Logic, Basic Informatics, and General State and Law.
  • The total number of classes opened during the 2017-2018 school year was 28 (almost three times more than the previous school year).
