Attending the closing ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the School), Dr. Pham Huy Cuong (Deputy Head of Student Political Affairs Department, in charge of CASA Student Support Advisory Group), and MSc. Ta Bich Ngoc (Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union).
Launched in April 2017, WE PASS has now entered its third year of operation with the goal of supporting students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to improve their academic performance. The closing ceremony of the 2017-2018 school year of WE PASS is also an opportunity for the Organizing Committee to express gratitude and say goodbye to the first members who initiated and built the program.
After listening to the report on the results of the 2017-2018 school year from the WE PASS Organizing Committee, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan shared a few words with the members of the program. For him, WE PASS is the most impressive program among the programs that the School Youth Union is implementing. WE PASS directly supports students in their studies and research.
Last school year, WE PASS had remarkable results. However, in addition to the expansion in quantity, the Organizing Committee also needs to consider improving the quality of the review classes. In addition, the school's functional departments such as the Student Affairs Department and the Training Department also need to provide stronger support for the program's activities.
Following Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong said that WE PASS has been doing well the task assigned by the School Youth Union and CASA, which is to help students solve problems and improve their exam and study results. However, in the following years, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong hopes to further expand the influence of the program, making WE PASS a familiar address for students, operating regularly and consistently.
In response to the school's comments, MSc. Ta Bich Ngoc (Deputy Secretary, Head of the School's Professional Board, the person directly managing the WE PASS program) accepted and set goals for the new school year such as: promoting the organization of review classes, opening more classes for specialized subjects, supporting students in answering questions about studying in general,...
To express gratitude for the dedication “with all their hearts and minds” of the members who volunteered to support WE PASS in the 2017-2018 school year, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates to 9 review instructors who are students, alumni and 13 members of specialized groups in the Organizing Committee.
In addition, MSc. Ta Bich Ngoc also represented the School Youth Union, presented gifts of gratitude and thanks to the first members who initiated and accompanied WE PASS from the first school year until now. Representing the former members, Head of the WE PASS 2017-2018 Organizing Committee, Tran Trong Hieu sent his thanks to the teachers and students; affirming that although due to study and work, the former members could not continue with the program, they were certain that when WE PASS needed help, they would always be willing to support.
WE PASS is a project to support students in their exam preparation, sponsored by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Professional Board of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Student Advisory and Support Group CASA. The project started in April 2017, and in the 2017-2018 school year, the project became an official program of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Professional Board, and has now entered its third year of operation. WE PASS's activities are to organize review classes for subjects that cause difficulties for students before each exam. WE PASS instructors are students and alumni who have achieved good results in that subject, always wanting to share knowledge and help other students in the school. In a review class, WE PASS does not limit the number of participants and does not charge any fees. According to the summary report of the 2017-2018 school year, WE PASS has achieved remarkable achievements such as:
