Attending the closing ceremony were all members of the AUN-QA External Evaluation Team, led by Mr. Prem Anand M Arjunan; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai (Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi); leaders of the Institute for Quality Assurance in Education of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and a number of centers, institutes, and agencies under Vietnam National University, Hanoi; representatives of the Boards of Directors of the schools, along with leaders, faculty members, and students of the Faculties whose training programs were accredited this time.
The four training programs participating in this accreditation process include: the Bachelor of Anthropology program (Faculty of Anthropology) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; the Bachelor of Mathematics and Informatics program (Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanics - Informatics) and the Master of Hydrology program (Faculty of Meteorology, Hydrology and Oceanography) of the University of Natural Sciences; and the Master of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure program (Faculty of Criminal Justice) of the University of Law.
At the closing ceremony, members of the AUN-QA evaluation team presented the preliminary results of the accreditation of the training programs, highly appreciating the common strengths of the programs and the achievements in various aspects: curriculum content, teaching and learning methods, student assessment, scientific staff, student support services, infrastructure and facilities, and employment after graduation. Based on this, they assessed the conditions for ensuring the quality of the training programs according to the AUN-QA evaluation scale.


The Bachelor's program in Anthropology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has received high praise for its strengths and achievements: a highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff; diverse and abundant facilities and teaching materials; effective student support activities,... especially the Anthropology Museum, which serves as a "laboratory" and a very visual and lively exhibition space.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Prem Anand M Arjunan – Head of the AUN-QA Assessment Team – thanked the Vietnam National University, Hanoi for the thoughtful reception and especially for the trust placed in the AUN-QA accreditation system. Mr. Prem Anand M Arjunan also expressed his hope that this assessment would contribute to improving the quality of training programs and promote the development of a close cooperative relationship between AUN and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Mr. Prem thanked the Vietnam National University, Hanoi for its very effective and active cooperation, which made the direct accreditation program smooth and successful.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, affirmed that the 322nd AUN-QA direct external evaluation is a significant event – giving Vietnam National University, Hanoi the opportunity to demonstrate its continuous dedication to achieving excellence in higher education.

As a founding member of AUN, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) has been committed to promoting quality assurance in education from its early days. Over the past 30 years, VNU-Hanoi has participated in 15 thematic networks under AUN, including nearly 20 years in the AUN-QA network. To date, approximately 48 training programs at VNU-Hanoi have been accredited by AUN-QA, demonstrating the close relationship between AUN-QA and VNU-Hanoi. Furthermore, to improve the quality of accreditation activities, Vice Director Nguyen Hoang Hai expressed his hope that AUN will support the organization of training sessions to enhance the capacity of VNU-Hanoi in quality assurance and accreditation for its units and staff.
At the closing ceremony, on behalf of the Board of Directors of VNU, Vice Director Nguyen Hoang Hai highly appreciated the tremendous efforts and active participation of the member universities with accredited training programs, the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance, VNU, and relevant parties, which contributed greatly to the success of this accreditation process.
With the goal of becoming a research university on par with leading research universities in the region, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has consistently been a pioneer in accreditation and improving the quality of its training programs. To date, the University has 8 programs that have achieved AUN-QA accreditation, 1 program that has completed external evaluation according to AUN-QA standards, 4 programs that have achieved ministerial-level accreditation, and 11 programs that have completed external evaluation and are awaiting official results.
