Opportunity to receive IMG scholarships worth up to 1 billion VND for lecturers and students of VNU

Attending the signing ceremony were VNU Director Le Quan, Vice Director Pham Bao Son, Principal of the University of Foreign Languages ​​Do Tuan Minh, Dean of the Faculty of Law Nguyen Thi Que Anh, Director of the VNU Development Fund, Permanent Vice President of the VNU Entrepreneurs Alumni Club Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Chief of Office of the VNU Alumni Club Duong Thi Huong. On the IMG side, there were Mr. Le Tu Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMG and Mr. Trinh Xuan Ha, General Director of IMG.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there was Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the school).

This initiative has a very important connecting role of Mr. Le Tu Minh (President of IMG, Vice President of VNU Business Alumni Club). Mr. Le Tu Minh has studied and matured from VNU, through this scholarship, so he always wants to help reduce the burden of study costs for talented students and encourage lecturers to be creative in teaching and imparting knowledge to future generations, thereby contributing to increasing the quality and academic reputation of VNU.

VNU President Le Quan expressed his appreciation for IMG's contributions to the cause of educating high-quality, highly-qualified human resources for the country that VNU is working hard to cultivate.

According to the cooperation content, IMG Company will award scholarships to Vietnamese lecturers and students working and studying at member schools of VNU in the fields of: Humanities and Education, Natural Sciences and Technology, Economics, Management and Sustainable Development, Medicine and Pharmacy, Arts and Innovation.

Candidates for the scholarship are those with outstanding achievements in research, study and community activities that have a positive impact on the development of the economy, society, culture and people of Vietnam.

The award structure includes 01 first prize and 01 second prize for the best lecturer, 01 first prize and 01 second prize for the most talented student, worth 300 million for the best lecturer, 100 million for the second ranked lecturer; 150 million for the best student and 50 million for the second ranked student. Priority is given to selecting scholarships for lecturers and students in basic science majors in the first and second years. The value of the scholarship changes after 2-3 years, but from the 6th year onwards, lecturers have the opportunity to receive a first prize scholarship worth 1 billion VND.

In addition, lecturers and students also received the IMG Scholarship Cup and Scholarship Certificate from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The cooperation is valid for 10 years, starting from 2022. The scholarship is organized once a year. The application submission time and scholarship award ceremony will be announced specifically at the beginning of the academic year of the scholarship organization on the website, official fanpage of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the Vietnam National University Development Fund, and directly in writing to the schools under Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The Director of VNU has decided to establish a Scholarship Selection Steering Committee, chaired by the Director of the VNU Development Fund. The members of the Scholarship Selection Steering Committee include representatives from VNU and IMG Investment Joint Stock Company.

The IMG Scholarship aims to support and encourage outstanding lecturers and talented students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. These are potential lecturers and students, expected to be able to participate in improving the quality of teaching activities, scientific research and knowledge transfer and innovation in Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and can make positive contributions to society in the future.

Previously, Vice President of the VNU Business Alumni Club Le Tu Minh also sponsored 1.1 billion for the Operation Fund of the VNU Business Alumni Club.
