Opportunities to receive IMG scholarships worth up to 1 billion VND for lecturers and students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Attending the signing ceremony were the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), Le Quan; the Vice Director, Pham Bao Son; the Rector of the University of Foreign Languages, Do Tuan Minh; the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Nguyen Thi Que Anh; the Director of the VNU Development Fund; the Standing Vice President of the VNU Alumni Business Club, Tran Thi Thanh Tu; and the Chief of the VNU Alumni Club Office, Duong Thi Huong. Representing IMG Company were Mr. Le Tu Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMG, and Mr. Trinh Xuan Ha, General Director of IMG.

Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the university).

This initiative owes a great deal to Mr. Le Tu Minh (Chairman of IMG, Vice President of the Alumni Club of VNU Entrepreneurs). Mr. Le Tu Minh received his education and training at VNU through this scholarship, and therefore he always hopes to help alleviate the financial burden of tuition for talented students and encourage faculty to be creative in teaching and imparting knowledge to future generations, thereby contributing to increasing the quality and academic prestige of VNU.

The Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Le Quan, expressed his appreciation for IMG Company's contributions to the cause of educating high-quality, highly skilled human resources for the country, a goal that Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is diligently cultivating.

According to the cooperation agreement, IMG Company will award scholarships to Vietnamese lecturers and students working and studying at member universities under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi in the fields of: Humanities and Education, Natural Sciences and Technology, Economics, Management and Sustainable Development, Medicine, Arts and Innovation.

Eligible candidates for the scholarship are individuals with outstanding achievements in research, academics, and community activities that have a positive impact on the socio-economic, cultural, and human development of Vietnam.

The award structure includes one first prize and one second prize for the best lecturer, one first prize and one second prize for the most talented student, worth 300 million VND for the best lecturer, 100 million VND for the second-place lecturer; 150 million VND for the best student and 50 million VND for the second-place student. Priority will be given to lecturers and students in basic science majors in their first and second years. The scholarship value changes every 2-3 years, and from the sixth year onwards, lecturers have the opportunity to receive the first prize scholarship worth 1 billion VND.

In addition, faculty and students also received the IMG Scholarship Cup and Scholarship Certificates from the Director of Hanoi National University.

The cooperation is valid for 10 years, starting from 2022. Scholarships are awarded once a year. The application deadline and the announcement of the scholarship award ceremony will be specifically announced at the beginning of the academic year of the scholarship awarding ceremony on the official website and fanpage of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the VNU Development Fund, and directly in writing to the affiliated schools of VNU.

The Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) decided to establish a Scholarship Selection Steering Committee, chaired by the Director of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Development Fund. Members of the Scholarship Selection Steering Committee include representatives from VNU and IMG Investment Joint Stock Company.

The IMG Scholarship aims to support and encourage outstanding faculty and talented students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. These are potential faculty and students who are expected to contribute to improving the quality of teaching, scientific research, knowledge transfer, and innovation within Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and who can make a positive contribution to society in the future.

Previously, Mr. Le Tu Minh, Vice President of the VNU Alumni Business Club, also donated 1.1 billion VND to the club's operating fund.
