The Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On the morning of September 26, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a ceremony to summarize 5 years of the emulation movement "Excellent at school - Good at home" (2005 - 2009) and summarize the union work of the 2008 - 2009 school year.

Attending the conference were Dr. Vu Thi Thanh Binh (Vice President of Vietnam Education Trade Union), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Ba Nam (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Principal of the School) and representatives of the industry trade union and trade unions of other schools.

The conference listened to the summary report of 5 years of the GVT - ĐVN movement presented by Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa - Vice President of the School's Trade Union. In recent years, the GVT - ĐVN emulation movement has been one of the typical emulation movements of all female education staff. Actively responding to the above movement, over the past 5 years, the School's Women's Union has made many efforts in innovating the form of activities, attracting women to actively participate in common activities, thereby creating conditions for women to promote their own capacity. Currently, the School has 256 female staff, accounting for 52.5% of the total number of staff in the school, including 175 female lecturers and 81 female staff working in administration. The female staff has made great contributions to many aspects of the School's activities.

Regarding teaching, female lecturers of the School have participated in teaching many subjects, in many different types of training. The process of converting training from the year system to credit training has many new requirements, but the female lecturers have been active, proactive in learning and quickly adapting to the requirements of the new type of training. Teaching service work has also made significant progress thanks to the contributions of female administrative staff. Scientific research work of female staff has also made progress with more than 150 research topics at all levels chaired by them. The increasing proportion of female staff participating in management and union work proves that the capacity and role of female staff are increasingly appreciated.

Along with doing a good job in their professional work, female cadres also take on the role of taking care of building a happy family life and raising their children to be good people. Many families have achieved the title of Cultural Family, and the number of children of female cadres with good academic achievements is increasing. Many children have achieved high results in excellent student competitions at all levels.

Summarizing 5 years of the movement, 04 collectives and 29 female cadres received certificates of merit from the VNU Trade Union, 29 female cadres received certificates of merit and 41 female cadres received certificates of GVT-ĐVN from the University Trade Union.

Next, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Chairman of the School Union - presented a summary report on the School Union activities in the 2008-2009 school year; the direction and tasks of the Union activities in the 2009-2010 school year. Accordingly, in the coming school year, the main programs of the School Union will focus on the following contents:

  • Protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests and care for the material and spiritual life of union members;
  • Building and improving the professional ethics and professional qualifications of the staff, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of innovation and improving the quality of training;
  • Mobilize and organize union members to actively participate in emulation movements and large-scale social campaigns in the industry to effectively carry out the political tasks of the School;
  • Innovate the organization, strengthen inspection work, improve the quality of union staff, build a strong union organization, participate in Party building, and contribute to building a strong school.

Also at the conference, 04 groups and 87 individuals received certificates of merit from the University's Trade Union; 06 groups and 30 individuals received certificates of merit from the VNU Trade Union; 02 groups and 04 individuals received certificates of merit from the Vietnam Education Trade Union; 14 individuals were awarded the Commemorative Medal for the cause of building the Trade Union organization by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In particular, the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received a certificate of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building a strong Trade Union organization in the 2008-2009 school year.
