Korean Film Week

The program takes place from October 5 to 9, 2009, organized by the Faculty of Oriental Studies. During these 5 days, 5 films will be shown. These films are translated and narrated by Korean students themselves.

1. More than a Scandal

What if one day, out of nowhere, two people appeared who claimed to be his daughter and granddaughter? What if suddenly a single, young person had to take care of two strangers? 2. First snow of the season

High school student Kim Min moves to Kyoto with his father, a famous professor and skilled potter. Young and energetic, everything is new and exciting to Min, and one beautiful spring day, he happens to meet Nanae Sasaki at a temple, and falls in love with her at first sight. When Min learns that Namae attends the same school as him, he tries to win her heart. Although she seems distant at first, Nanae is touched by Min's sincerity and they gradually develop a love for each other despite the language barrier. The two promise each other to go to Seoul together and take a walk in the first snow of the season...But one day, Nanae suddenly disappears...

3. Baby and I

The film tells the story of a 19-year-old man, Jun Su, who becomes the father of baby Woo Ram. This is a humorous story about Jun Su's life since this "accident". From a naughty student, Jun Su has become a real man, responsible for his family.

4. Destiny

This is an action movie that tells the story of four young people, in which friendship, loyalty and betrayal are intertwined. Woo Min wants to escape from the world criminal gang. Do Wan wants to win back his ex-girlfriend. As for Chul Jung, his only concern is to protect and take care of his sister. The three friends carry out a robbery in the hope of starting a new life with that money and at the same time becoming enemies of the mafia boss Doo Man. With the guidance of Kang Sup, they succeed in this robbery.

But Chul Jung became jealous of the closeness and sincerity that Do Wan and Kang Sup showed to Woo Min and betrayed his friends. Kang Sup injured his leg and became disabled. Do Wan relapsed into drug addiction, and Woo Min was held responsible after being caught by the police and sent to prison. However, he was soon released due to his good behavior.

Woo Min decided to forgive Chul Jung for his betrayal and help Kang Sup and Do Wan escape from the criminal group along with the money they stole. But Woo Min was surprised, Kang Sup now lost a lot of money, Do Wan was struggling with drugs, and Chul Jung became more sinister by turning Do Wan into his gang's henchman. Above all, Woo Min had to try to escape his fate and hopeless despair.

5. Marrying a Mafia man
