Dear teachers, staff, civil servants and students who have been teaching, working and studying at Hanoi University of Science, now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Hanoi University of Letters - the predecessor of the current University of Social Sciences and Humanities (October 10, 1945 - October 10, 2010) - the Association of War Veterans has been approved by the Party Committee and the Board of Directors to republish and supplement the book "Remaining with Time". It is expected to be published in April or May 2010.

The Executive Committee of the School's Veterans Association respectfully requests that teachers, staff, and students who have been teaching, working, and studying at the school please provide information and send articles to the School's Veterans Association with the following content:

  1. Provide information about cadres and students in the social sciences and humanities (mainly the two faculties of Literature and History) who taught, worked and studied at the school and enlisted, fought and died on the battlefields. The list collected (29 martyrs, attached to this letter) does not have enough information about hometown, course, time of enlistment, time of death, resting place, contact address of relatives... Dear teachers, cadres, and students, if you have any information (even the smallest), please provide it to us.
  2. Collect photos, relics, and works of martyrs to keep in the School's Tradition Room.
  3. Collect or write new articles about memories of the school's martyrs.

For further information, please send to the Office of the Veterans Association, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Room 207, Building D, 336 Nguyen Trai - Thanh Xuan - Hanoi, or via one of the following two email addresses: tungvt@vnu.edu.vn, pthung01@yahoo.com.
