Dear esteemed lecturers, staff, and students who have taught, worked, and studied at Hanoi University, now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi University of Literature – the predecessor of the current University of Social Sciences and Humanities (October 10, 1945 - October 10, 2010) – the Veterans Association of the university has received approval from the Party Committee and the Board of Directors to reprint and supplement the book "Remaining with Time". It is expected to be published in April or May 2010.

The Executive Committee of the Veterans Association of the school respectfully requests that all teachers, staff, and students who have taught, worked, or studied at the school please provide information and submit articles to the Veterans Association of the school according to the following content:

  1. We are requesting information about faculty and students from the social sciences and humanities (primarily the Departments of Literature and History) who taught, worked, and studied at the university and who enlisted, fought, and died in the war. The list we have compiled (29 martyrs, attached to this letter) still lacks complete information regarding their hometowns, courses, enlistment dates, death dates, burial places, and contact information for relatives… Dear faculty, staff, and students, if you have any information (even the smallest detail), please provide it to us.
  2. Collect photographs, artifacts, and artworks of fallen soldiers to be preserved in the School's Tradition Room.
  3. Collect or write new articles about the memories of the school's martyrs.

Please send all information to the Office of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Room 207, Building D, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi, or via one of the following email addresses: tungvt@vnu.edu.vn, pthung01@yahoo.com.
