Awarding 10 Doosan scholarships

On September 24, 2009, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the first Doosan (Korea) scholarship award ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Kong Yong Kwon (Deputy General Director) and Mr. Kim Hoon (Human Resources Director) of Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam. On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Associate Professor Dr. Pham Gia Lam (Vice Rector) and representatives of the Department of Student Affairs and International Relations.

This is the first time Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd. has awarded scholarships to students of the University. The scholarship recipients are students of the Korean Studies Department - Faculty of Oriental Studies who have excellent academic results in the 2008-2009 school year. Each scholarship is worth 250 USD. At the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Kong Yong Kwon expressed the company's wish to support and encourage students of the University in their studies, especially students of Korean Studies, who will later directly contribute their abilities to Korean companies and enterprises operating in Vietnam.
