On the morning of September 8th, Mr. Edmund Tan CH, Counselor of the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam, visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the aim of exchanging information and seeking opportunities for cooperation between the University and Singaporean universities. Associate Professor Pham Gia Lam, Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives from the Faculty of History, International Studies, and the Department of Political Science, received Mr. Edmund Tan CH.

Associate Professor Pham Gia Lam introduced some of the university's training programs. He also emphasized the university's policy of strengthening and expanding cooperative relationships with foreign partners through scholar exchanges, student exchanges, and collaborative research projects. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities also highly appreciated the level of development of universities in Singapore and believed that the cooperation between the two sides has great potential and opportunities in the future.

Agreeing with the above viewpoint, Mr. Edmund Tan CH suggested that, in the short term, several meetings could be organized for scholars from both sides to exchange and present their new research findings in areas of mutual interest. Singaporean universities are currently seeking to invite Vietnamese lecturers to exchange and teach about Vietnamese culture and history; therefore, the university could select qualified lecturers with sufficient expertise and English proficiency to recommend to its partners.

During the meeting, the counselor also gained in-depth knowledge about several training programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, such as Political Science, History, and International Relations.
