On September 10, 2009, a delegation from Thammasat University (Thailand), led by Professor Surapon Nitikraipot - Rector - visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to attend the signing ceremony of the first official cooperation agreement between the two universities.
Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Gia Lam - Vice Rector of the University, along with leaders from the Faculty of History, the Faculty of Linguistics, and the International Relations Office.
According to the signed framework agreement, the two sides will cooperate in joint activities: exchanging scholars, administrators, students, and postgraduate students; exchanging scientific documents and publications; participating in research programs; jointly organizing seminars and scientific conferences; and exchanging training and management experiences. The signed agreement is valid for 5 years.
Thammasat University is the 11th university in Thailand to become a partner of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Thammasat University was founded in 1934. Its fields of study include: Social Sciences and Humanities (Law, Political Science, Economics, Social Management, Arts, Journalism and Communication, Commerce and Accounting, Sociology and Anthropology, Applied Arts, Languages, etc.); Science and Engineering (Construction, Engineering, Architecture, etc.); and Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Dentistry, Applied Health Sciences, Nursing, Community Health Care, etc.). Thammasat offers 110 undergraduate programs, 91 master's programs, and 28 doctoral programs.
