To celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20th, the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a gathering to congratulate the female staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Currently, the number of female staff members at the University is 295 out of 531 (nearly 56%) of the total staff. With their increasingly outstanding capabilities, the female staff members have made a significant contribution to the University's development in all aspects of its operations. In professional activities, teaching, and scientific research, female faculty members have achieved many outstanding accomplishments. In recent years, the number of female staff members who have successfully defended their master's and doctoral dissertations, been awarded the title of Associate Professor, and led and participated in research projects at various levels has increased rapidly: 1 project won a National University-level Science and Technology award, they have led 4 projects funded by the Nafosted Foundation, completed 40 research projects at various levels; published over 200 articles in scientific journals and presented at conferences. They have also completed and published 50 textbooks, lectures, and translated materials to serve the University's training activities. Four female lecturers were recognized with the title of Associate Professor, and 10 female staff members successfully defended their doctoral dissertations.

The number of female staff members participating in leadership and management has consistently affirmed their role and position. Many female staff members have held leadership and management positions at various levels within the school, demonstrating their competence, prestige, and positive influence in overall activities. The school has 1 Vice Rector, 3 out of 16 Deans of Faculties, 11 Vice Deans of Faculties, 4 Deputy Heads of Departments, the Director of the Museum, and 2 Directors of Centers who are women. The total number of female staff members in leadership and management positions from Deputy Head of Department upwards is 60 out of 150 positions, 8 out of 15 members of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee, and 14 out of 20 Chairpersons of departmental trade unions are women. The capabilities of women are being promoted in organizational and management work, contributing to the transition from a bureaucratic management system to a highly autonomous and self-responsible system, a breakthrough in the development of the school. At the same time, it further enhances the image of women: beautiful, graceful, in a professional, modern, elegant, and humane workplace culture.

The movement"Excellent at schoolwork, capable at home."It has been widely implemented and has yielded meaningful and practical results. Organizing family life well, raising well-behaved and academically successful children, strictly adhering to the population law, and building families according to the following standards:Prosperity, equality, progress, happiness, and sustainability"The activities of interaction and awarding prizes to the children of staff and faculty during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year) are always lively and engaging, strengthening the bond between families and the school, as well as reassuring and instilling confidence in staff members in their professional work. Female staff and faculty members of the school also regularly participate in humanitarian and charitable activities, supporting education in mountainous and remote areas. In addition, the school's trade union has actively organized cultural and artistic activities, beauty and health care consultations, etc., providing more useful knowledge, creating a friendly and youthful atmosphere, and increasing enthusiasm in professional work and collective activities of the school."

With the achievements they have attained, the female staff of the School were awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Ministry of Education and Training in 2010; contributing to the proud history of achievements in trade union activities, training activities and scientific research throughout each period of the School's development.
