Opening of Korean Language Course for Samsung Electronics Company Employees

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lee Choel Ku said that Samsung Electronics has invested in Bac Ninh since 2008 and Thai Nguyen since 2013, and has now had more than 110,000 employees and has achieved certain successes, contributing greatly to the economic and social development of Vietnam in general, Bac Ninh province and Thai Nguyen province in particular. With more than 26 billion USD in exports in 2014, Samsung contributed 18% of the country's total export turnover. To achieve this achievement, in its business strategy, in addition to improving technology, Samsung always focuses on building a team of excellent employees with qualifications and effective working skills, aiming for long-term sustainable development. Therefore, the Korean language training course for excellent employees studying at the School was started by Samsung in early 2014, and for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, today's opening course is the third course marking the cooperation between the two units. Mr. Lee Choel Ku hopes that the course will contribute to improving communication efficiency, breaking down language barriers between the two sides and helping students make good use of their Korean language skills, contributing to improving work efficiency.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has relationships with many corporations and companies, but these relationships are still very modest. The presence of the Deputy General Director as well as the staff of Samsung Electronics is an important addition to the training and research work of the University because training must be closely linked to and serve reality, especially towards training a team of high-quality staff to serve modernization and industrialization. Therefore, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is very pleased to cooperate with Samsung Electronics to train high-quality human resources in the field of Korean. This is a very important task to help the University fulfill its mission of serving the development of the country. The Vice President also acknowledged that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has cooperated well with Samsung Electronics to successfully complete previous Korean language training and teaching programs. During the 2nd training course in Bac Ninh, all the excellent employees of Samsung company in Bac Ninh were able to master Korean language skills and communicate very well with Korean employees, and they really had a great time at the School.
