The expert team included: Dr. Tran Thi Hoai (Deputy Director of the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance, VNU Hanoi, head of the team), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Thu (Head of the Department of Cultural Studies, University of Culture, member), and Dr. Mai Thi Quynh Lan (Institute for Educational Quality Assurance, VNU Hanoi, secretary).
The opening ceremony of the evaluation program was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Rector of the University). On behalf of the Faculty of Anthropology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Suu (Head of the Faculty) and the faculty members attended. The University's Center for Educational Quality Assurance was responsible for the organization, and leaders from various functional departments and centers within the University accompanied the evaluation process throughout.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa stated at the opening ceremony: “Anthropology is a field with a long-standing tradition at the University, and to date, it has a team of high-quality and reputable lecturers, along with many outstanding scientific works. However, this field of study still faces many difficulties and challenges. This curriculum evaluation will help the Faculty of Anthropology and the University overcome limitations and promote the strengths of the training program, thereby helping this field of study to develop even further.”
Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa also expressed her gratitude to the expert team for carrying out their duties seriously, impartially, and effectively in evaluating the university's training programs over the past period.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Suu, Head of the Department of Anthropology
On behalf of the Faculty of Anthropology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Suu (Head of Faculty) gave an overview of the Faculty's development. The Faculty of Anthropology was founded on the basis of the Ethnology group within the Faculty of History in 1960. In 2010, it became the Department of Anthropology directly under the University, and in 2015, the Faculty of Anthropology was established. After more than half a century of development, the Faculty of Anthropology is currently the only higher education institution in Vietnam that systematically trains students in Anthropology from undergraduate to master's and doctoral levels. Currently, the Faculty has 4 Associate Professors, 5 Doctors, and 4 PhD candidates, with the majority of lecturers trained abroad. Scientific research, publications, and international cooperation are strengths of the Faculty. Through adjustments aimed at improving quality, the Anthropology curriculum emphasizes the combination of the Faculty's traditions and identity with the updating of new trends in training from prestigious universities worldwide.

Dr. Lam Minh Chau, Deputy Head of the Department of Anthropology
Dr. Lam Minh Chau (Deputy Head of the Anthropology Department) presented the self-assessment report on the training program, focusing on the strengths and weaknesses identified by the Department. These observations were based on three criteria. Firstly, how the training unit has defined the objectives, philosophy, and learning outcomes of the training process, and how these have been appropriately concretized in the program structure and curriculum description. Secondly, how the teaching and assessment methods are implemented, and to what extent the outputs meet societal demands. Thirdly, the unit's resources to achieve the set objectives…
The expert team's evaluation activities included: reviewing supporting documents, interviewing the School's Board of Directors, leaders of functional departments and centers, Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments, lecturers, student support departments, students, alumni, and surveying training facilities, etc.
