Receiving the delegation of Yunnan University (China)

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan briefly introduced the history of training and research of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading address for training in Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam. The Vice President also emphasized the internationalization strategy of the University, including strengthening international cooperation. Yunnan University is one of the important partners of the University.

On behalf of Yunnan University, Mr. Li Wei expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Speaking at the meeting, President Li Wei highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between the two leading universities of Vietnam and China. He proposed that the two sides open more specialized training courses in Chinese; strengthen exchanges and cooperation in all training and scientific research majors; and promote student and lecturer exchanges. According to the 1+3 and 2+2 Vietnamese language training cooperation programs, Yunnan University also pledged to support and award scholarships to Vietnamese students studying in China.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan agreed with the proposals of Professor Li Wei and hoped that the two schools would promote exchanges and cooperation in the coming time. The Vice President also affirmed that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always welcomes and creates the best learning conditions for Chinese students in particular and international students in general.

Yunnan University was founded in 1922 and is located in Kunming City Center. It is the first comprehensive university in China and the largest national-level public university in Yunnan Province. It is also the only university in Yunnan and Guangxi Province to be included in the top 42 key universities in China. Yunnan University consists of 11 colleges, with many different training majors.
