A few weeks before the “main festival”, a “festive, festive” atmosphere has filled the lecture halls of the Faculty, urging teachers and students to quickly complete preparations, in order to create a true cultural festival - both rich and vibrant like life itself, yet creative, diverse and tolerant…
The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language is the unit with the most multicultural learning and research environment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
As usual, the festival started in the afternoon when 14 Vietnamese and international student camps started to light fires to cook and sell traditional dishes. The novelty and excellence of the camps attracted many visitors from all over the world - especially young people, making the judges feel confused in choosing the most unique stalls. And when the flavor of cereal and wine began to take effect, the music started to play, bustling and jubilant, encouraging everyone to participate in traditional folk games. At that time, the daily worries were really left out there. Everyone took full advantage of the precious time to savor the flavor of the festival. Those who cooked just cooked, those who ate just ate, those who danced just danced, those who sang just sang. Refreshing. Lavish. When the players were tired and the eaters had enough, the festival moved on to the fashion show of students from various countries. This was a new feature of this year's festival. It both shows the diversity of the festival and reflects the message of friendship and peace from the Organizing Committee: “From many, we are one”.
International students had a really warm Christmas and New Year's celebration.
As the saying goes, “The best for the last” - the most attractive and interesting content of the festival is the cultural and artistic performance program taking place in the evening. In addition to a large number of teachers, students and visitors from all over the world, in the evening, the festival also welcomed the presence of many distinguished guests: Mr. Saadi Salama (Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Vietnam, a former student of the Faculty of 1980 - 1984), Ms. Elena Vishnitskaia (representative of the Russian Federal Cooperation Agency Rossotrudnichestvo in Vietnam), Mr. Nguyen Luong Giang (State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Associate Professor, Dr. Mai Xuan Huy (Deputy Director of the Institute of Linguistics, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences). Representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Rector), Professor Inagaki Tsutomu (visiting professor of the University) and many leaders of departments and units in the University.

Vice Principal Tran Thi Minh Hoa, on behalf of the University, presented Christmas and New Year gifts to international and Vietnamese students.
As expected, Vietnamese and international students brought the audience special cultural experiences. The performances not only showed richness in genres (singing, dancing, jumping) but also attractive content. The festival has ended, but “some stay, some go home” are still lingering. Because they feel happy and satisfied when experiencing the good values that culture brings to people. If you want to experience a similar feeling, please come to us on this day, next year.
