The opening ceremony of the evaluation program was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Principal of the School), Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication) and representatives of relevant departments and lecturers of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication.
Since April 2017, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication has developed a Self-Assessment Report on the quality of the undergraduate training program in Journalism and prepared the conditions to participate in the survey on this occasion.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Principal of the School, delivered the opening speech and emphasized: “The goal of evaluating the quality of the training program is to identify strengths and weaknesses, to find suitable solutions for the development process of each unit in particular and the whole School in general.”

According to Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy, the role and responsibility of the Expert Group is to accompany the Faculty of Journalism and Communication in identifying issues according to quality assessment standards. The parties work in a spirit of frankness, openness and high responsibility.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication) presented a summary report on the Bachelor of Journalism training program. The Faculty of Journalism and Communication was established in 1990 and is one of the two largest training and research institutions for Journalism in Vietnam, training at three levels: Bachelor, Master and Doctorate. In particular, this is the only Faculty-level unit that trains both majors: Journalism and Public Relations and has three Master training programs: research-oriented, application-oriented and international cooperation. The report also presents the methods that the Faculty has implemented to build the output standards of the training program, the methods of implementing training activities with the philosophy of "taking students as the center" and stating the strengths and limitations identified by the Faculty.

Next, the expert team conducted the following activities: studying supporting documents, interviewing representatives of the School Board, leaders of functional departments and centers, interviewing the Faculty Board and heads of departments, interviewing lecturers, student support departments, interviewing students, alumni, surveying training facilities, etc.
