On December 5, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, along with representatives from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, received Mr. Shoji Sato, representative of the Association for Bookkeeping Promotion in Vietnam (ABPV).During the meeting, Mr. Shoji Sato expressed his willingness to open a short-term accounting course for Japanese Studies students at the university. This course would help Japanese Studies students increase their chances of finding jobs in Japanese companies. Mr. Shoji Sato shared: "When people think of accounting, they think of mathematics, but that's not the case; humanities students can absolutely learn it. And students with intermediate or above-average Japanese language skills can also participate in these courses." Welcoming ABPV's proposal, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh affirmed: "Students in the Oriental Studies department consistently achieve top results in university entrance exams, so they are fully capable of taking these courses." Following the meeting with the University President, Mr. Shoji Sato and the ABPV representative will have a discussion with the faculty and students of the Japanese Studies department.
