Signed a cooperation agreement with the Academy of Social Sciences – National Taiwan University.

On November 6, 2013, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Academy of Social Sciences – National Taiwan University.

Professor Nguyen Van Khanh and Professor Vuong Le Dung exchanged cooperation documents at the signing ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were Professor Wang Li-Jung (Vice Rector of the Academy of Social Sciences), Professor Hsu Chi-Kwan (Head of the Department of Political Science, Academy of Social Sciences), Mr. Chan Kwan-Fu and Dr. Kwok Fung-Yuo (representatives of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam). Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector), Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector), Professor Dr. Phung Huu-Phu (Head of the Department of Political Science), and Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Deputy Head of the Department of Political Science).

According to the signed agreement, the two training institutions will implement activities such as exchanging lecturers, students, and postgraduate students; exchanging documents and scientific information on areas of mutual interest; jointly organizing seminars and scientific research programs; and jointly participating in research and publication activities.

The College of Social Sciences (National Taiwan University) has a history of over 100 years of development. Its organizational structure comprises six units: the College of Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, the National Institute for Development Studies, and the Institute of Journalism. The college educates over 1000 students and has more than 200 faculty members, with over 90% having pursued further studies abroad.

During the meeting, representatives from both sides expressed their confidence and expectations for an effective and meaningful cooperation between the two leading educational institutions in Vietnam and Taiwan in the future.
