Ten Anthropology students receive the Phan Huu Dat Award.

Attending the opening ceremony were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University), and generations of faculty members, students, and trainees of the Faculty.

Professor Pham Quang Minh delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the Faculty of Anthropology.

In his welcoming remarks at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Suu (Head of the Anthropology Department) informed the delegates about the outstanding achievements of the Department in the 2017-2018 academic year and the directions for the 2018-2019 academic year. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Suu especially welcomed all 79 new students of the K63 cohort and expressed his hope that this would be a group of enthusiastic and promising students, worthy of being the next generation of students at one of the leading anthropology training and research units in the country.

During the opening ceremony, students who demonstrated perseverance and academic excellence, as well as those with high scores in this year's national high school graduation exam, were selected by the University and Faculty to receive the Phan Huu Dat Award. This award is named after Professor Phan Huu Dat, a prominent scientist in the fields of Ethnology and Anthropology, who made significant contributions to the development of the Faculty and the University. The award serves as a great encouragement for students pursuing Anthropology, demonstrating the University's commitment to one of its fundamental and important fields of study.

Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University) presented the Pham Huu Dat Award to 10 students with outstanding achievements.

The Rector also shared with the new students about the development of the Faculty and its significant contributions to the development of the University; and wished the students a successful new academic year.

Student Duong Thi Phuong Thao, on behalf of the students of the Faculty, expressed deep gratitude for the care and attention of the teachers and demonstrated determination to successfully complete all tasks in the coming academic year.
