10 Anthropology students receive Phan Huu Dat award

Attending the opening ceremony were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Principal of the School), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the School) and generations of teachers, students and trainees of the Faculty.

In his welcoming speech at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Suu (Head of the Faculty of Anthropology) informed the delegates of the outstanding achievements of the Faculty in the 2017-2018 school year and the orientations for the 2018-2019 school year. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Suu especially sent his greetings to all 79 new students of K63 of the Faculty and expressed his hope that this will be a group of enthusiastic and promising students, worthy of being the next generation of students of one of the leading Anthropology training and research units in the country.

During the opening ceremony, students with the spirit of overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies, and those with high scores in this year's national high school exam were selected by the School and the Faculty to receive the Phan Huu Dat Award. This award is named after Professor, Doctor, People's Teacher Phan Huu Dat - a great scientist in the field of Demography and Anthropology, who has made many contributions to the development of the Faculty and the School. The award is a great source of encouragement for students pursuing Anthropology, demonstrating the School's interest in one of the School's important basic fields of study.

The Principal also shared with the new students about the development of the Faculty as well as the great contributions of the Faculty to the development of the University; at the same time, wished the students a successful new school year.

Student Duong Thi Phuong Thao, on behalf of the students of the Faculty, expressed her deep gratitude for the teachers' care and expressed her determination to complete her tasks well in the coming school year.
