After an exciting and quite tense quarter-final match, the players of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities entered the semi-final match against the Lien Quan 1 team. Because they had prepared in advance, the two teams entered the match very cautiously. The situations on the field throughout the first half were tit-for-tat, but mainly concentrated in the midfield area. Among them, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities team had a slight advantage with a few regrettable missed opportunities.
Entering the second half, the match became more open. Player Nguyen Quoc Huy (number 8, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) scored 3 consecutive goals in 10 minutes to put his team 3-0 ahead of their opponents. It was thought that the game had turned around and made it easier for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, but the 3 goals conceded pushed the Lien Quan 1 team to search for an equalizer. Lien Quan 1 rose up strongly while the University of Social Sciences and Humanities team made mistakes in some situations. The reasonable substitution helped Lien Quan 1 score 2 beautiful equalizers, but that was not enough for them to continue. The Bronze medal will be a worthy reward for the efforts of the Alliance 1. As for the football team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, under the enthusiastic encouragement of the leadership and home fans, the upcoming final match against the University of Foreign Languages will certainly be a great opportunity for the team to change the color of the football medal after the championship since 2005.
The Board of Directors, Party Secretary, and Principal of the School took a commemorative photo with USSH FC 2018 before the Semi-final match.
The final match of the VNU Men's Football Tournament will take place at 4:00 p.m. on November 7, 2018 (Wednesday) at the VNU Sports Complex football field. We would like to invite teachers and students to come and cheer for the players of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
