After a thrilling and tense quarter-final match, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities team entered the semi-final against the Combined Team 1. Having prepared beforehand, both teams started cautiously. The first half saw back-and-forth exchanges, primarily concentrated in the midfield. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities team had a slight advantage, with a few unfortunate missed opportunities.
In the second half, the game became more open. Nguyen Quoc Huy (number 8, University of Social Sciences and Humanities team) scored three consecutive goals within 10 minutes, giving his team a 3-0 lead. It seemed the momentum had shifted and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities team would easily win, but these three goals spurred the Combined Team 1 to desperately seek a goal. Combined Team 1 surged forward strongly, while the University of Social Sciences and Humanities team made careless mistakes in several situations. Sensible substitutions helped Combined Team 1 score two beautiful goals, but it wasn't enough for them to advance. The bronze medal would be a well-deserved reward for the efforts of Team 1. As for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities football team, with the enthusiastic support of the leadership and home fans, the upcoming final match against the University of Foreign Languages will certainly be a great opportunity for the team to change the color of their football medal after winning the championship in 2005.

The School's Leadership Board, Party Secretary, and Principal took a commemorative photo with USSH FC 2018 before the semi-final match.

The final match of the VNU Trade Union Men's Football Tournament will take place at 4 PM on November 7th, 2018 (Wednesday) at the VNU Sports Complex football field. We cordially invite all faculty and students to come and cheer on the players from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
