Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, is a reporter at the conference.
From the perspective of the nation to the perspective of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu shared: If the school wants to develop, it needs to find the driving force for development. To have the driving force, there must be benefits, activities to care for benefits and harmonize benefits.
"If the University of Social Sciences and Humanities wants to develop, it must put the issue of benefits on the desk of the University's Party Committee," said Professor Phung Huu Phu.
But benefits alone are not enough. Benefits must be linked to democracy, and democracy will ensure sustainable benefits. Accordingly, the University should build a democratic university environment, where people are respected, and humane values, humanity, and solidarity are promoted, so that the driving force for development is sustainable.
Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu added that in the context of science and technology changing every day, the School needs to quickly apply science and technology to its activities, modernize information, and scientificize school management activities that need to be focused on.
In addition to finding and promoting motivations, the School needs to focus on the human resources: Building in each party member, lecturer, and student the spirit of a "true patriot". History has proven that only the spirit of true patriotism can help our nation overcome difficulties and hardships. As a school with a leading position in the field of social sciences and humanities in the country, the School needs to spread the model of true patriotism education. This is both a driving force for national construction and a factor for building the School's brand for sustainable and everlasting development.
