From the idea of the School Principal, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, to the coordination of the Organization and Personnel Department and the School's Trade Union, along with the eagerness to learn of the School's young staff, a vibrant and novel atmosphere was created in the first meeting of LBCE.

Attending the event were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Principal of the School), Assoc. More than 40 young staff participated in the first meeting of the club.

The content of the first meeting of LBCE is the activity of greeting, getting acquainted and introducing oneself as well as interacting with the guests. The interesting difference of this club is in the form of organization and the demeanor of the attendees. It can be seen that the atmosphere is quite intimate and open, different from meetings, scientific seminars or academic group discussions. Because the English communication level of each person is different, the most important goal is to help each member communicate more in English, boldly and confidently demonstrate their abilities. The topics of conversation and exchange are open issues in life and work.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Principal of the School, shared about the idea of establishing LBCE as well as a series of recent events to build an English communication environment at the School:“Personal experience shows that teachers only need to be confident, comfortable and practice a lot to improve their communication skills. From there, you will be able to improve your level and achieve further goals. To do that, you need an environment, to practice English regularly and be encouraged to express yourself more.”

In addition to the Lunch Box Club for English, the school is implementing two English communication training courses for staff, lecturers, and specialists and a Master's Tea club for students. The training courses and clubs are taught by foreign professors and experts.

LBCE is held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm every Friday. Each meeting will have at least one foreign professor or expert discussing with members on a specific topic. Lunch break at the School has become a time for School staff to increase opportunities to exchange, share, improve their English communication skills as well as professional issues. In recent times, the School has expanded and upgraded facilities, spaces for self-study activities, common activities of students and clubs in the School. This has contributed to the realization of many unique ideas, of practical significance in all aspects of activities of the School's lecturers and students.
