From May 8 to 12, 2011, a delegation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities led by Rector Professor Nguyen Van Khanh visited and worked in China at the invitation of the leaders of Guilin University of Science and Technology and Hainan University.
The delegation visited and worked with the branch of Guilin University of Science and Technology and Beihai Technical College (Beihai City - Guangxi), from May 8 to 10. During the meeting with the leaders of Guilin University of Science and Technology and Beihai Technical College, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest and wished to cooperate in the coming time, such as: Establishing a Vietnamese Language Center at Beihai Technical College, cooperating in training in Tourism Management and receiving students from the College to study Vietnamese through short-term and long-term programs. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh also committed to sending Vietnamese language teachers to teach at Beihai Technical College. From May 10 to 12, the delegation continued to visit Hainan University, Hainan Province at the invitation of Vice President Phu Quoc Hoa. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to establish a bilateral cooperative relationship and open up mutually beneficial cooperation directions. The leaders of the two schools also discussed the opening of the first Vietnamese Language Center in Hainan Province, China and exchanged some opinions and experiences on university administration, student exchange programs and joint training programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
